Apple-licious Lip Balm Recipe

About This Recipe:
This sweet smelling apple scented lip balm will keep your lips moisturized and tasting delicious for hours. 


Shopping List:
(1) 2 oz Lip Balm Base for Sticks
(1) 2 fl. oz Apple - Sweetened Flavor Oil 778
(1) 2.5 gm Bag Bath Bomb Red Powder Color
(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene
(1) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic
(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable
(1) 12 Each 0.15 oz Natural Lip Tube Only - Round
(1) 12 Piece Lip Tube Cap: Natural


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 2 oz. Lip Balm Base for Sticks
• 2 ml(s) Apple - Sweetened Flavor Oil 778
• 1/8 Teaspoon(s) Bath Bomb Red Powder Color


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Measuring Spoon
• (1) Spatula

Directions:
NOTE:  If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Into a plastic beaker, add Lip Balm Base for Sticks. Heat in microwave until product has completely melted.   
  2. To melted base, add 2 ml of Apple-Sweetened Flavor Oil and stir to blend.
  3. Stir in 1/8 tsp. of Bath Bomb Red Powder color and mix well.
  4. Immediately pour product into lip balm sticks. If product has started to harden, place the cup back into the microwave to liquify.  
  5. Let lip balm completely harden before applying caps. If any sink holes appear after cooling,  reheat any leftover lip balm and fill in the top. A heat gun can also be used to warm the tops until they become liquid and they will reharden to give a smooth finished look 
  6. Apply caps and label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply to lips as needed.
