Toilet Tabs Recipe

About This Recipe:

These lemon scented toilet tabs will leave your toilet bowl and bathroom smelling fresh and clean. Just drop one in the bowl and watch the fizzing action. The combination of baking soda and citric acid will help soak away stains and leave a fresh scent.

(1) Distilled Water (not included in kit)

(1) 1 lb Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)

(1) 1 lb Citric Acid Powder

(1) 2 oz White Kaolin Clay

(1) 2 oz Sodium Borate - aka Borax

(1) 2 oz Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate Coarse SLSa

(1) 2 fl. oz Lemon Verbena - EO & FO Blend 715

(2) 2.5 gm Bag Neon Blue Disco Pants Powder

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(1) 1 Bottle 02 oz Clear Cosmo Oval Plastic Bottle - 20/410

(1) 1 Piece 20/410 Natural Ribbed Sprayer Top - Clear Cap

(1) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(5) 1 Piece Square Cubes (Medium) Clamshell with Hinged Lid

Recipe Ingredients:

• 0.50 oz. Distilled Water (not included in kit)
• 16 oz. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 8 oz. Citric Acid Powder
• 0.75 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• 2 oz. Sodium Borate - aka Borax
• 1 oz. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate Coarse SLSa
• 20 ml(s) Lemon Verbena - EO & FO Blend 715
• 2 Teaspoon(s) Neon Blue Disco Pants Powder

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Large Glass Mixing Bowl
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Measuring Spoons
• (1) Rubbing Alcohol - 99%
• (1) Mask
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Distilled Water

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. We recommend using a mask when working with lathanol powder.  It is a very fine powder and becomes airborne very quickly.
2. To a large mixing bowl, add Baking Soda, Citric Acid, Lathanol Powder, Kaolin Clay and Sodium Borate.
3. Stir with wire whisk and break apart any clumps of powder with gloved hands.
4. Add Neon Blue Powder and mix with hands to fully incorporate.
5. Drizzle 20 ml of Lemon Verbena EO & FO Blend, making sure to cover entire powder area.
6. Mix again with hands until well blended. 
7. Pour 0.50 oz. Distilled Water over the mixture and quickly mix with hands to prevent fizzing.
8. Squeeze a small amount of mixture in your hand. If it sticks together, it is ready. If not, spritz the mixture with rubbing alcohol until it sticks together in your hand like wet sand.
9. Place one clamshell on a scale and tare to zero. Fill with powder until scale reaches 5.50 oz. Continue filling remaining clamshells. If any mixture remains, divide evenly among the clamshells.
10. Press powder down well into each cavity making sure the powder is evenly distributed.
11. Brush mixture from the plastic dividers between each cavity so it is clean and neat.
12. Set clamshells aside to dry completely, preferably overnight, then close lids. 
13. Label product accordingly.

TO USE: Place one tab into toilet bowl. Let fizz and soak for about 10 minutes. Use brush to clean bowl all over and then flush.
