Champagne Infused Body Souffle Recipe

About This Recipe:

Champagne is thought to be very beneficial to the skin because of antioxidants in the grape seed extract it contains. This lotion is packed full of skin nourishing ingredients such as Olive Oil A (skin cell rejuvenation), Grape Seed Oil (preserves natural moisture in skin) and Cranberry Butter (very high in antioxidants). This will leave your skin thirsting for more!

Recipe Ingredients:

• 12.0 oz. Champagne (not included in kit)
• 3.84 oz. Olive Oil - Refined A
• 0.64 oz. Cranberry Butter Blend
• 1.92 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Soft & Silky
• 0.32 oz. Isopropyl Myristate
• 0.64 oz. Stearic Acid
• 1.60 oz. Grape Seed Oil
• 0.32 oz. Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 0.32 oz. Preservative - Water Soluble (Compare to Germaben II)
• 19 ml(s) Strawberries & Champagne* - EO & FO Blend 247
• 4 .15 ml Scoop Shimmering Light Gold Mica Powder

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Metal Pot
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Measuring Cup (64 oz.)
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Mixing Spoon or Spatula
• (1) Stick Blender
• (1) Thermometer
• (1) Champagne

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. Bring champagne to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely. This will remove any alcohol content in the champagne. Any brand of champagne is fine to use. You may lose some of the champagne while simmering. You will need 6 oz. for the recipe so this will allow for any burn off. 
2. Add emulsifying wax, stearic acid, olive oil and grape seed oil to measuring cup and heat in microwave until wax has melted.
3. Add cranberry butter and stir until melted. 
4. Add warm water and 6 oz. of champagne from earlier to large measuring cup.
5. Pour wax/oil mixture into the water/champagne. (Mixture will turn white and get clumpy.)
6. Stick blend until lotion starts to thicken and then add isopropyl myristate, Vitamin E, fragrance and gold mica powder and continue to blend until lotion is desired texture.
7. When lotion is 140°F or below, add Germaben II and blend.
8. Fill each jar to 7 oz. by weight. Any remaining product can be divided equally.
9. Allow to cool completely then place lids on jars.
10. Label product accordingly.

To Use: Massage onto skin as often as needed.
