This soap is packed full of skin nourishing oils and butters. The addition of Buttermilk Powder makes it very creamy and moisturizing. The comforting blend of lavender and musk makes it soothing soap to use at bedtime.

(1) 2 fl. oz Bedtime Bath* Fragrance Oil 361

(1) 2 oz Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
(1) 2 oz Cocoa Butter - Deodorized & Ultra White
(1) 2 oz Buttermilk Powder
(1) 1 Mold Regular Loaf Silicone Mold 1501
(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 10.64 oz. Distilled Water
• 3.90 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Flakes
• 16.5 oz. Olive Oil - Refined A
• 7 oz. Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
• 1.75 oz. Bedtime Bath* Fragrance Oil 361
• 1.50 oz. Mango Butter - Refined
• 1.50 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 1.50 oz. Cocoa Butter - Deodorized & Ultra White
• 1.50 oz. Buttermilk Powder

• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (64 oz.)

Directions:
WARNING: This project and these instructions have been written for someone who has experience making soap and knows the potential dangers due to working with sodium hydroxide. It will not outline all safety methods of working with dangerous chemicals, it is simply a soap recipe for advanced soap makers.
  1. Weigh water and sodium hydroxide in separate polypropylene containers. Pour the Lye into the Water. Carefully mix in a well-ventilated area and set aside to cool. 
  2. Add all the Oils and Butters to a microwave-safe measuring cup and melt in the microwave. Add Buttermilk Powder and whisk in. Set aside. 
  3. Measure Fragrance Oil and set aside.
  4. When both the lye mixture and the oils are 100°F or below, pour the lye mixture into the oils. Stick blend until you reach a thin trace. Add Fragrance Oil and blend until you reach a medium-thin trace.
  5. Pour the soap batter into the mold and tap the mold on the counter to release any air bubbles. Texture top as desired.
  6. Allow to set for 24 hours or longer until soap is firm enough to unmold. Unmold and slice. Let soap cure 4-6 weeks. Package and label accordingly.
To Use: Lather with water onto skin. Rinse off. Avoid contact with eyes.
