Orange MP Soap Pops Recipe

About This Recipe:

This recipe produces fun orange soap pops! The orange smell will bring you right back to your childhood of eating a delicious Creamsicle. Make sure you clearly state that these are not edible on your soap's label.

Shopping List:

(1) 2 lb Premium Extra Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

(1) 2 fl. oz Orange-sicle Fragrance Oil 959

(1) 2 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer - MP Soap

(1) 1 Block Stained Glass Citrus Orange Soap Color Blocks

(1) 1 Mold Soap Popsicle Silicone Mold 1617

(10) 1 Piece Soap Pop Sticks

(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

Recipe Ingredients:

• 32 oz. Premium Extra Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 0.90 oz. Orange-sicle Fragrance Oil 959
• 0.40 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer - MP Soap
• 0.20 oz. Stained Glass Citrus Orange Soap Color Blocks

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Soap Cutter & Cutting Mat
• (1) Scale-Digital Display
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Thermometer - Digital
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol - 99%
• (1) Plastic Wrap

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.

1. Melt 16 oz. of soap and 0.10 oz. color block together in the microwave until melted.
2. Mix 0.45 oz. fragrance and 0.20 oz. vanilla color stabilizer in beaker and allow mixture to sit for two minutes. Add mixture to soap and mix well. Allow soap to cool to 120ºF.
3. Pour evenly between 5 mold cavities and spritz soap with rubbing alcohol. (It may be slightly short of the top of the cavities.)
4. Place lid on mold and push pop sticks into soap. Allow soap to cool.
5. Remove soap from molds.
6. Repeat to make five more bars.
7. Wrap soap in plastic wrap.
8. Label accordingly. Be sure to add to label  “DO NOT EAT. REMOVE STICK BEFORE USING”.

To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse with warm water.
