Donut Holes Bath Fizzies

About This Recipe:

You will definitely have to put “DO NOT EAT” on these bath fizzies. They may be small but are packed with skin-pampering ingredients such as arrowroot powder, shea butter, pink sea salts and more. Use 1-2 fizzies per bath for a luxurious tub of goodness.

Shopping List:

(1) 1 lb Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)

(1) 1 lb Citric Acid Powder

(1) 2 oz Arrowroot Powder

(1) 2 oz Shea 50

(1) 2 oz Cocoa Powder

(1) 2 fl. oz Jelly Doughnut Fragrance Oil 556

(1) 2 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer - CP Soap

(1) 1 lb Brown Sugar - Raw Demerara Crystals

(1) 1 lb Pink Sea Salt - Medium

(1) 2 lb Basic Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

(2) 1 Mold Round Ball 1 1/4" Silicone Soap Mold 1802

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(2) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(2) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

Recipe Ingredients:

• 16 oz. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 8 oz. Citric Acid Powder
• 1 oz. Arrowroot Powder
• 0.40 oz. Shea 50
• 0.20 oz. Cocoa Powder
• 10 ml(s) Jelly Doughnut Fragrance Oil 556
• 10 ml(s) Vanilla Color Stabilizer - CP Soap
• 8 oz. Brown Sugar - Raw Demerara Crystals
• 8 oz. Pink Sea Salt - Medium
• 8 oz. Basic Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 2 Piece(s) Round Ball 1 1/4" Silicone Soap Mold 1802

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Large Mixing Bowl (32 oz.)
• (1) 4 Small Shallow Bowls
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Cookie Sheet
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Waxed or Parchment Paper
• (1) Scale - Digital Display

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet and latex gloves. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. In large mixing bowl, add 8 oz. baking soda, 4 oz. citric acid and 0.50 oz. arrowroot powder. Mix with wire whisk or gloved hands and break up any clumps.   
2. In plastic beaker, mix 5 ml fragrance oil with 5 ml vanilla stabilizer. Let sit for 2 minutes.     
3. Add 0.15 oz. Shea 50 and drizzle over dry mixture followed by fragrance mixture.
4. Immediately, mix wet ingredients into dry powders using gloved hands.
5. Place Round Ball Silicone mold on cookie sheet. Tightly pack mixture into each cavity. 
6. Repeat Step 1 and mix in cocoa powder.
7. Repeat Steps 2-5 with cocoa bath fizzy mixture.
8. Let fizzies harden overnight.
9. Carefully remove round bath fizzies from molds.
10. Fill three small shallow bowls with raw brown sugar, pink sea salts and shredded coconut for dipping the bath fizzies.
11. Cut up 4 oz. of clear soap and heat in microwave until melted. Add to shallow bowl.
12. With gloved hands, dip one donut hole (all but the bottom) into clear soap and then in one “topping” rolling around to cover top and sides. Set on cookie sheet lined with wax paper to harden.
13. Add toppings to “donut holes” and let harden.
14. Package donut holes as desired.
15. Label accordingly.

To Use: Place 1-2 bath fizzies into tub under running water.
