About This Recipe:
This light and fluffy lotion will leave your skin moisturized and silky feeling. Ingredients of shea butter, coconut and safflower oils will nourish and protect the skin without any greasy feeling.

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 48 oz. Distilled Water (not included in kit)
• 5 oz. Safflower Oil
• 3.20 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Soft & Silky
• 3 oz. Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
• 2.55 oz. Stearic Acid
• 2 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 0.65 oz. Preservative - Sorbic Acid +2 PF (Compare to Optiphen Plus)
• 1 Tablespoon(s) Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 4 Teaspoon(s) Shimmering White Clouds Mica Powder
• 19 ml(s) Marshmallow Fragrance Oil 566
• 19 ml(s) Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Thermometer
• (2) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (64 oz.)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Mixing Spoon
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Stick Blender
• (1) Distilled Water

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. To microwave-safe measuring cup, add 48 ounces of water. Set aside.
  2. To second microwave-safe measuring cup, add stearic acid, emulsifying wax, safflower oil and coconut oil.  Heat in microwave until waxes have completely melted.
  3. Add the shea butter and gently stir to allow butter to soften and melt. If necessary, briefly heat in microwave until melted.
  4. Place bowl of water into microwave and heat for 2 minutes. Slowly pour into hot oil/wax mixture.
  5. Using a stick blender, begin to blend until all ingredients look well blended. Place bowl in refrigerator for 30-45 minutes.  
  6. Remove and stir to blend in thickened lotion. Stick blend until lotion is smooth.  
  7. In plastic beaker, mix fragrance oil with Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Let sit for 2 minutes then add to lotion.
  8. Check temperature of lotion to be sure it is under 176°F. Add preservative  and Vitamin E and blend until fully mixed.
  9. Stir in Shimmering White Clouds Mica Powder by hand then briefly stick blend. 
  10. Fill bottles to 8 oz. by weight. If lotion is too thick to pour, use a pastry or zip close bag to pipe lotion into the bottles. 
  11. Let lotion cool completely before capping. Dip tubes will need to be trimmed to fit length of bottle.  
  12. Label product accordingly. 
To Use: Apply to skin as often as desired.
