Springtime Tulips MP Loaf Soap

About This Recipe:

Spring is fast approaching and tulips have started to pop up out of the garden. Make this fun and flowery springtime soap with embeded tulips fragranced with a fresh and bright floral fragrance that reminds you of a fresh bouquet of tulips. 

Shopping List:

(1) 2 lb Basic White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

(1) 2 lb Premium Crystal Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

(1) 2 fl. oz Blooming Tulips Fragrance Oil 390

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Plumberry Pink Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag NuTone Yellow Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag Sliced Green Kiwi Mica Powder

(2) 1 Mold Tulip Column Silicone Soap Mold 2004

(1) 1 Mold Regular Loaf Silicone Mold 1501

(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable

(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

(1) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic

(2) 1 Each Mix & Pour Funnel Pitcher

(3) 1 Piece Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)

Recipe Ingredients:

• 13.2 oz. Basic White MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 30.8 oz. Premium Crystal Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 1 oz. Blooming Tulips Fragrance Oil 390
• 2 .15 ml Scoop Plumberry Pink Mica Powder
• 2 .15 ml Scoop NuTone Yellow Mica Powder
• 4 .15 ml Scoop Sliced Green Kiwi Mica Powder
• 2 Piece(s) Tulip Column Silicone Soap Mold 2004
• 1 Piece(s) Regular Loaf Silicone Mold 1501

Equipment From Home:

• (1) 1 Piece Straight Soap Cutter
• (1) Cutting Mat
• (1) Microwave
• (1) 1 Each Scale - Digital Display (Professional)
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (3) Spatulas
• (1) Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol - 99%
• (1) 1 Piece Non Contact Infrared Thermometer

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. Ensure both Tulip column molds are securely closed. Add a large binder clip to each side if you are concerned with the mold coming apart. Place on jelly roll pan to catch any spills.
2. To one Mix & Pour Funnel Pitcher, add 6.6 oz. white soap. Melt in microwave.
3. To melted white soap, add (2) 0.15 ml scoops of Plumberry Pink Mica and mix well.
4. To second Mix & Pour Funnel Pitcher, add 6.6 oz. white soap. Melt in microwave.
5. To melted white soap, add (2) 0.15 ml scoops of NuTone Yellow Mica and mix well.
6. Cool the soap in both Mix & Pour Funnel Pitchers to 125°F.
7. Fill one tulip column mold with pink soap.  Let soap cool.
8. Fill the second tulip column mold with yellow soap. Let soap cool
9. To a large 32 oz. measuring cup, add 30.8 oz. clear soap to bowl. Melt in microwave.
10. To melted clear soap, add (4) 0.15 ml scoops Sliced Green Kiwi Mica and mix well.
11. Add 1 oz. Blooming Tulips Fragrance Oil to soap and mix well.
12. Remove cooled Tulip Soaps from column molds. Trim sides of any excess soap.
13. Cool green soap to 125° F.
14. Place the pink tulip soap into the Regular Loaf Mold. Spray liberally with rubbing alcohol.
15. Carefully pour green soap along both sides of the pink tulip soap until the top is just covered.  Set remaining soap aside and let harden.
16. Spray soap with rubbing alcohol.
17. Carefully place yellow tulip soap to one side of the pink tulip soap.
18. Spray the tulip soap liberally with rubbing alcohol and then carefully pour the remaining green soap along both sides of the yellow soap.
19. Spray the top of the finished soap with rubbing alcohol. Let cool.
20. Once soap has hardened, remove from mold and slice into 8 bars. Wrap in airtight packaging. 
21. Label product accordingly. 

To Use:  Lather onto wet skin and rinse off with warm water.
