Pumpkin CP Soap Cupcake

These adorable pumpkin soap cupcakes look and smell good enough to eat. They are made with lots of skin-loving ingredients. This slightly scrubby soap is the perfect addition to your fall body care line.

(1) 1 lb Palm Kernel Flakes - 102º Melt

(1) 2 lb Sodium Hydroxide Flakes

(2) 2 oz Murumuru Butter

(1) 2 oz Pumpkin Seed Oil

(1) 2 oz Castor Oil

(1) 2 fl. oz White Pumpkin Puree Fragrance Oil 730

(1) Pumpkin Flakes

(1) 2.5 gm Bag NuTone Orange Mica Powder

(1) 2.5 gm Bag NuTone Green Mica Powder

(1) 2 lb Detergent Free Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray

Recipe Ingredients:

• 14.10 oz. Distilled Water
• 5.90 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Flakes
• 20 oz. Olive Oil - Refined A
• 6 oz. Palm Oil - No Stir
• 6 oz. Palm Kernel Flakes - 102º Melt
• 5.90 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Flakes
• 4 oz. Murumuru Butter
• 2 oz. Pumpkin Seed Oil
• 2 oz. Castor Oil
• 2 oz. White Pumpkin Puree Fragrance Oil 730
• 1 oz. Pumpkin Flakes
• 1 .15 ml Scoop NuTone Orange Mica Powder
• 1 .15 ml Scoop NuTone Green Mica Powder
• 5 oz. Detergent Free Clear MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• 1 Teaspoon(s) Egyptian Bronze Mica Powder
• 1 Teaspoon(s) Pumpkin Top Mini Mold (LOP 36)

Directions:

WARNING: This project and these instructions have been written for someone who has experience making soap and knows the potential dangers due to working with sodium hydroxide. It will not outline all safety methods of working with dangerous chemicals, it is simply a soap recipe for advanced soap makers.

1. To beaker, add 1 oz. MP soap base and melt in microwave. Add green color and mix well. Pour into pumpkin tops and allow soap to harden.
2. To measuring cup, add 3 oz. MP soap base and melt in microwave. Add orange color and mix well. Spray green soap with rubbing alcohol and then pour orange soap into pumpkins. When soap is hard, remove from mold.
3. To polypropylene pitcher, add water and then slowly add lye. Mix well and set aside to cool.
4. To metal pot, add olive oil, palm oil, pumpkin seed oil, castor oil, murumuru butter and palm kernel flakes. Heat on stove top until liquid. Set aside to cool.
5. When both lye solution and oils are 120ºF, slowly pour lye solution into oils. Stick blend until light trace.
6. Pour 20 oz. soap batter into mix and pour funnel pitcher and set aside.
7. To soap batter in metal pot, add fragrance and pumpkin flakes and continue to stick blend until
   medium trace. Pour soap into muffin molds.
8. Stick blend remaining soap batter until thick trace. Move soap to piping bag and pipe onto soap in mold.
9. To beaker, add 1 oz. MP Soap and bronze mica. Mix well and drizzle on top of soap cupcakes. Then, place one pumpkin soap into top of frosting on each cupcake.
10. After at least 24 hours, remove soap from molds. Wrap pumpkins in plastic wrap.
11. Allow to cure for 4-6 weeks.
12. Package and label accordingly.

To Use: Lather with water onto skin. Rinse off. Avoid contact with eyes.
