Travel Facial Set

About This Recipe:

This facial set is packaged in 2 oz. bottles making it perfect for travel. Use the no-rinse Chamomile Facial Cleanser to remove dirt and grime and follow up with a moisturizing face cream containing Chamomile Hydrosol and Walnut Oil and a skin-nourishing Botanical Extract blend.

Recipe Ingredients:

• 10.35 oz. Distilled Water (not included in kit)
• .50 oz. Chamomile Water Essential Hydrosol
• 2.0 oz. Chamomile Water Essential Hydrosol
• 2 oz. Chamomile Extract - Water Soluble
• 2 oz. Shea 50
• 0.35 oz. Sodium Lactate 60%
• 0.15 oz. Glycerin - Natural
• 0.35 oz. Polysorbate 80
• 0.10 oz. Preservative - Water Soluble PF (Compare to Germall Plus)
• 16 oz. Gentle Face & Baby Cream
• 5 ml(s) Botanical Extract Blend 1 - Water Soluble
• 1 Teaspoon(s) Tapioca Starch - Pure
• 5 ml(s) Walnut Oil
• 2 ml(s) Green Apple Fragrance Oil 266

Equipment From Home:

• (2) Wire Whisk
• (2) Spatulas
• (1) Mixing Bowl
• (3) Measuring Spoons
• (1) Pastry Bag or Zip Close Bag
• (1) Scissors
• (1) Scale - Digital Display

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. FOR CLEANSER:
2. Into Mix & Pour Funnel, add water. Heat in microwave for 60 seconds.
3. To water, add (1) 2 oz. bottle of Chamomile Water Hydrosol, Chamomile Extract and Shea 50.
4. Using plastic beaker to weigh ingredients, add Sodium Lactate, Polysorbate 80, glycerin and preservative to the water. Stir with wire whisk to blend well. Let sit for 15 minutes, then whisk again.
5. Fill each bottle to 2.20 oz. by weight. Let cool, then place caps on bottles.
6. Label product accordingly.

To Use: Apply the cleanser to a cotton pad and clean your face. No need to rinse.

1. FOR CREAM:
2. Empty jar of Gentle Face and Baby Cream into a mixing bowl.
3. Add 0.50 oz. of Chamomile Water and mix in.
4. Add 5 ml Botanical Extract and 5 ml Walnut Oil.  Mix to incorporate. 
5. Add 1 teaspoon of Tapioca Starch and blend in with a wire whisk.
6. For fragrance oil, we added 1 ml of the Green Apple Fragrance Oil.  This was very lightly scented.  If more fragrance is desired, you can add a total of 2 ml of fragrance. 
7. Place lotion into a pastry or zip close bag for ease in filling the bottles. 
8. Snip off the tip of the bag and fill each bottle to approximately 1.625 – 1.65 ounces by weight. 
9. Place caps onto bottles and label accordingly.
10. Package one cleanser and one face cream into gold organza bags.
