Pretty Pink CP Soap Recipe

About This Recipe:

This bright pink soap is made using the hanger swirl technique. It smells of sugared berries with notes of apple and magnolia and uses luxury oils such as olive oil, macadamia nut oil and coconut oil.

• 2.80 oz. Palm Oil

• 1.40 oz. Castor Oil
• 1/4 Teaspoon(s) Neon Hot Pink Kisses Powder
• 1/4 Teaspoon(s) Titanium Dioxide Pigment Powder - For Oil

Directions:

WARNING: This project and these instructions have been written for someone who has experience making soap and knows the potential dangers due to working with sodium hydroxide. It will not outline all safety methods of working with dangerous chemicals, it is simply a soap recipe for advanced soap makers.

1. To pitcher, add water and then slowly add lye. Mix well and set aside.
2. To metal pot, add olive oil, macadamia nut oil, coconut oil, shea butter and castor oil. Heat until liquid then set aside.
3. To beaker, add pink powder and 0.15 oz. fragrance and to funnel pitcher, add titanium dioxide and 0.15 oz. fragrance. Mix both well.
4. When oil mixture and lye solution are both 115ºF, pour lye solution into oils. Stick blend until emulsified. Add remaining fragrance and mix into soap.
5. Pour 15 oz. soap batter into funnel pitcher and add pink slurry to remaining soap batter. Mix white soap then pink soap.
6. Pour one-third of pink soap into mold. Tap mold to release air pockets. Pour one-half of white soap on top of pink soap while making sure not to break through layer. Tap mold. Pour another third of pink soap and tap mold. Pour remaining white soap and tap. Pour remaining pink soap and tap.
7. Insert wire hanger into side of loaf. Move wire hanger up and down while moving along the mold going down and back. Remove hanger.
8. Use spoon to decorate top. Cover soap and allow to harden at least 24 hours.
9. Remove soap from mold and slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for at least four weeks.
10. Package and label accordingly. 

To Use: Lather with water onto skin. Rinse off. Avoid contact with eyes.
