Pre-Shave Body Polish and Shaving Cream Set Recipe

About This Recipe:

This body polish will slough off any dead skin giving you a closer shave. The Shea Butter also moisturizes your legs/face reducing razor burns. The shaving cream also moisturizes while providing a smooth shave.

(1) 5 lb Sugar - White Granulated Sugar

(2) 1 lb (single jar) Foaming Bath Whip - Traditional

Recipe Ingredients:

• 16 oz. Liquid Suspension Soap Base
• 3.5 Cup(s) Sugar - White Granulated Sugar
• 1.5 oz. Shea Butter - Ultra Refined
• 1.0 oz. Fresh Bamboo* Fragrance Oil 349
• .50 oz. Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 32 oz. Foaming Bath Whip - Traditional
• 1.0 oz. Horsetail Butter Blend
• 1.0 oz. Bamboo Extract - Water Soluble
• 1.0 oz. Aloe Vera Oil - Golden
• 1.0 oz. Bubble Up
• 2 Tablespoon(s) White Kaolin Clay
• 10 ml(s) Preservative - Water Soluble (Compare to Germaben II)

• (3) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Hand Mixer
• (1) Measuring Cups and Spoons
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Gloves
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (8 oz.)
• (1) Spatulas
• (1) Scale - Digital Display

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. TO MAKE BODY POLISH:
2. To large microwave-safe measuring cup, add Liquid Suspension Shower Gel. 
3. To beaker, add 1.50 oz. Shea Butter. Heat in microwave on low until melted.
4. Add to shower gel and gently stir to incorporate.
5. To separate bowl, add sugar and break up any clumps with gloved hands.  
6. Slowly add to the shower gel, mixing with wire whisk until smooth.
7. To beaker, add 0.50 oz. Fragrance and 0.25 oz. Vitamin E and mix in.
8. Divide product among the eight bottles and place on lids. 
9. Label product accordingly.
10. TO MAKE SHAVING CREAM:
11. Into microwave-safe cup, add Horsetail Butter and Aloe Vera Oil. Place in microwave and heat until melted.
12. To large mixing bowl, add both containers of Foaming Bath Whip. Using a hand mixer, whip product for about 30 seconds.
13. Add your melted butter/oil mixture to bowl and mix well to incorporate.
14. Add Bamboo Extract, Preservative and Kaolin Clay. Mix well to incorporate.
15. Add 0.50 fragrance, 0.25 oz. Vitamin E and Bubble Up and mix well.
16. Fill each airless bottle to approximately 4.80 ounces by weight, tapping to help product fill the bottom. Place pump top and caps on bottles.
17. Label product accordingly. 
18. Package one Body Polish and one Shave Cream in a gold organza bag.

To Use: Wash skin with Body Polish to help remove any dead skin cells. Follow up with shaving cream and shave as usual.
