This yummy caramel apple lip balm is a perfect treat for fall. It not only tastes good, it leaves your lips creamy and moisturized.

 


Shopping List:
(1) 2 oz Lip Balm Base for Sticks
(1) 2 oz Lip Balm Base for Pots
(1) 2 fl. oz Apple - Sweetened Flavor Oil 778
(1) 2 fl. oz Creamy Caramel - Sweetened Flavor Oil
(1) 2.5 gm Bag Martini Olive Green Mica Powder
(1) 2.5 gm Bag Gingerbread Brown Mica Powder
(2) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene
(2) 1 Piece Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)
(2) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic
(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable
(14) 1 Set 1/3 oz Clear Jar with Natural Top


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 2 oz. Lip Balm Base for Sticks
• 2 oz. Lip Balm Base for Pots
• 6 ml(s) Apple - Sweetened Flavor Oil 778
• 6 ml(s) Creamy Caramel - Sweetened Flavor Oil
• 1 .15 ml Scoop Martini Olive Green Mica Powder
• 1 .15 ml Scoop Gingerbread Brown Mica Powder


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Mixing Spoons
• (1) Microwave

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. To plastic beaker, add 1 oz. of Lip Balm Base for Pots.To second plastic beaker, add 1 oz. of the Lip Balm Base for Sticks. 
  2. Place both beakers in the microwave and heat for about 30 seconds or until the bases are completely melted.
  3. To one beaker, add 3 ml of Apple - Sweetened Flavor Oil and mix in.
  4. Then, add about 1 mini scoop of the Martini Olive Green Mica Powder and blend to incorporate color. 
  5. To the other beaker, add 3 ml of the Creamy Caramel - Sweetened Flavor Oil and mix in.
  6. Then, add about 1 mini scoop of the Gingerbread Brown Mica Powder and mix in well.
  7. Let both beakers thicken slightly before pouring (around 125°). This will help keep the two colors separated once they are poured.
  8. With one beaker in each hand, pour both colors at the same time. The colors should meet in the center and stay separated.  Do not fill to top but a little above the threaded area. Using the end of a spoon, create a swirl in the middle of the lip balm.
  9. Continue until all product has been poured. This should fill 7 lip balm pots. If the product thickens too much, place in microwave very briefly to melt.
  10. Repeat above steps to make second set of lip balm pots. 
  11. Once completely cooled, apply caps.
  12. Label product accordingly. 
To Use: Apply to lips as needed.
