About This Recipe:
Our Floral Rose Face Mask combines Rose Petal Powder, Lotus Flower Extract and Geranium Water to make skin glow! Skin-loving oils of avocado and moringa seed help to moisturize skin. This mask is super smooth and creamy so it’s easy to apply and feels lovely on the skin.

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 16.92 oz. Distilled Water
• 1.68 oz. Moringa Seed Oil
• 1.68 oz. Avocado Oil
• 1.20 oz. Cetyl Alcohol Flakes
• 0.92 oz. BTMS - 50
• 7.88 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• 0.44 oz. Rose Petal Powder - Pink
• 0.50 oz. Lotus Flower Extract - Water Soluble
• 0.50 oz. Geranium Water Essential Hydrosol
• 0.24 oz. Preservative - Sorbic Acid +2 PF (Compare to Optiphen Plus)


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave-Safe Mixing Bowl (48 oz.)
• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (16 oz.)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Hand Mixer or Stick Blender
• (1) Spatula

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
  1. To a microwave-safe mixing bowl, add Moringa Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Cetyl Alcohol and BTMS-50. Heat in microwave until waxes have completely melted.
  2. Add water to a microwave-safe measuring cup and heat for 2.5 minutes. Mix in Lotus Extract and Geranium Water.
  3. Pour waters into oil/waxes and mix using a hand mixer or stick blender. Mix until product thickens and has a lotion consistency. If product is too thin, place in fridge to cool and thicken. 
  4. Slowly blend in Kaolin Clay and Rose Petal Powder by hand then mix with blender until well incorporated.
  5. Add preservative and mix in well. Product should have a nice creamy appearance.
  6. Let product set overnight to completely cool and thicken. Mix briefly before filling jars. Fill each jar to approximately 3.80 oz. by weight.
  7. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply mask to face avoiding eye area. Leave on for 10-15 minutes until mask has dried. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.
