Acai & Blueberry Lip Gloss with Versagel

About This Recipe:
This recipe uses our new lip gloss base, Versagel. This base will leave your lips feeling glossy, smooth and moisturized. The fruitiness of the blueberry scent will leave you craving some sweet, juicy blueberries!

(2) 2 oz Versagel Lip Gloss Base
(1) 2 oz MCT - Mid Chain Triglycerides Liquid
(1) 2 fl. oz Acai & Blueberry - Sweetened Flavor Oil 880
(1) 2.5 gm Bag Purple Galaxy Mica Powder
(1) 1 Each Hairnets - 24 inch Disposable
(1) 1 Piece Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)
(1) 1 Piece Droppers (Pipettes) - Plastic
(18) 1 Set 1/3 oz Clear Jar with Black Top


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 4 oz. Versagel Lip Gloss Base
• 1 oz. MCT - Mid Chain Triglycerides Liquid
• 4 ml(s) Acai & Blueberry - Sweetened Flavor Oil 880
• (3-4) .15 ml Scoop Purple Galaxy Mica Powder


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Microwave-Safe Container
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Scale-Digital Display
• (1) Spoon or Spatula
• (1) Sandwich-size food bag
• (1) Scissors
• (1) Hair Dryer or Heat Gun

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
  1. Into a glass meauring cup, add 4 oz. of Versagel. Heat in microwave for 2.5 minutes on 50% power. 
  2. Add 1.0 oz. MCT and mix into warm gel until gel becomes smooth. This helps to make the gel more fluid and not as sticky.
  3. Add 3-4 micro scoops of Purple Galaxy Mica Powder and 4 ml Acai & Blueberry Flavor Oil. Mix until smooth.
  4. Using a sandwich-sized storage bag, place inside a cup so bag can stand upright. Place the gel into the bag using a spatula or spoon. 
  5. Cut a small corner off the bag and fill each lip pot to 0.25 oz. each. This should fill 18 jars. Place lids on jars. If desired, apply 65" x 55" shrink wrap bands so pots are tamper-proof. Simply place band around the jar and use a hair dryer or heat gun on low heat to shrink band around the jar. 
  6. Label product first if using shrink wrap. 
To Use: Apply gel to lips as desired.
