About This Recipe:
We used our Detergent Free Australian Tea Tree soap base to make these man-sized bars. Additional Tea Tree and Peppermint essential oils gives this an intoxicating scent. We also added Kaolin Clay, Olive Leaf Powder and Peppermint leaves for an even more appealing soap bar.

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 28 oz. Detergent Free Australian Tea Tree MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• .5 oz. Tea Tree EO - Certified 100% Pure 136
• .25 oz. Peppermint (Redist) EO - Certified 100% Pure 699
• .25 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• .15 oz. Olive Leaf Powder
• 3/4 Teaspoon(s) Peppermint - Botanical

• (1) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Soap Cutter & Cutting Mat
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Small Bowl
• (1) Strainer
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol
• (1) Measuring Spoons
• (1) Thermometer - Digital

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
  1. To a microwave-safe measuring cup, add 28 oz. of cut up soap. Heat in microwave until completely melted.  
  2. To a small bowl, add 0.25 oz. Kaolin Clay. Using a wire whisk, mix with small amount of melted soap until smooth.  
  3. To the melted soap, pour clay mixture through a strainer to catch any undissolved clay. Mix well. 
  4. Add 0.15 oz. Olive Leaf, 0.25 oz. Peppermint Essential and 0.50 oz. Tea Tree Essential Oil. Blend well.
  5. Stir in 3/4 tsp. Peppermint Leaves. Let soap cool down to around 115°F to help leaves suspend in soap. They will naturally float to the top. Stir occasionally while soap is cooling. Olive Leaf powder can create some foam on top of the soap. Spritz lightly with rubbing alcohol to dissolve.
  6. When soap has cooled, stir to distribute peppermint leaves, then pour soap into each cavity, gently stirring between each pour.  Spritz with alcohol and let harden. Remove from mold and set aside.
  7. Wrap all bars in airtight packaging. 
  8. Label product accordingly. 
To Use: Lather onto wet skin and rinse with warm water.
