About This Recipe:
Our Hemp & Acai Sugar Scrub blends our Crafters Choice Detergent Free Hemp Soap Base with hemp seed oil. Hemp seed oil is an amazing moisturizer that's thought to soothe skin with its anti-inflammatory properties. Along with granulated sugar, green and black jojoba beads help exfoliate while sprinkling in delightful dots to the scrub! This kit makes 4 jars.

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 20 oz. Sugar - White Granulated Sugar
• 8 oz. Foaming Bath Whip - Traditional
• 6 oz. Detergent Free Hemp MP Soap Base - 2 lb Tray
• .75 oz. Hemp Seed Oil - Virgin (Dark Green)
• .35 oz. Hemp & Acai Fragrance Oil (Special Order)
• .15 oz. Preservative - Water Soluble PF (Compare to Germall Plus)
• 10 Drop(s) Stained Glass Forest Green Liquid Color
• 1 Teaspoon(s) Poppy Seeds
• 1 Teaspoon(s) Jojoba Beads - Black


Equipment From Home:

• (1) Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer
• (1) Soap Cutter
• (1) Cutting Mat
• (1) Spoon or Spatula
• (1) Teaspoon
• (1) Measuring Cup

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron, workspace and sanitized equipment.
  1. Place 6 ounces of cut up soap base in a large glass bowl.  Heat in the microwave for 1 minute.  
  2. Add 8 ounces of foaming bath whip to hot soap.  Using a hand mixer, on medium speed, blend until  bath whip mixture is fluffy,  about 4 to 5 minutes. 
  3. Add hemp seed oil, stirring in with a spatula
  4. Add sugar one cup at a time and continue mixing on low speed.
  5. Add fragrance, preservative and color and mix until completely blended.
  6. To the mixture, add 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds and 1 teaspoon of green jojoba beads.  Blend in with a spatula.
  7. Spoon 8 ounces into each jar and top off with remaining scrub, apply lid.
  8. Label accordingly.
To Use: Massage gently onto wet skin.  Rinse off with warm water.
