Hemp Beard Styling Balm

About This Recipe:

This nourishing beard balm contains hemp oil, argan oil, and jojoba oil.  Hemp oil is thought to nourish skin and strengthen facial hair.  The jojoba and conditioning emulsifing wax softly style the beard.  

Shopping List:

(1) 2 oz Jojoba Wax

(1) 2 oz Emulsifying Wax - Conditioning

(1) 2 oz Hemp Seed Oil - Virgin (Dark Green)

(1) 2 oz Aloe Vera Oil - Clear

(1) 1/2 oz Argan Oil

(1) 1/2 oz Jojoba Oil - Clear

(1) 2 oz Coconut Oil - 76º Melt

(1) 2 oz Kokum Butter

(1) 1/2 oz Vitamin E Natural T-50

(1) 2 fl. oz Black Pepper* Fragrance Oil 595

(6) 1 Set 01 oz Silver Shallow Rustproof Tin & Screw Top Set

Recipe Ingredients:

• .7 oz. Jojoba Wax
• .3 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Conditioning
• 1 oz. Hemp Seed Oil - Virgin (Dark Green)
• 1 oz. Aloe Vera Oil - Clear
• .5 oz. Argan Oil
• .5 oz. Jojoba Oil - Clear
• 1 oz. Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
• 1 oz. Kokum Butter
• .25 oz. Vitamin E Natural T-50
• .1 oz. Black Pepper* Fragrance Oil 595

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Heat Safe Pan or Double Boiler
• (1) Stove or Hot Plate
• (1) Spoon or Spatula

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. In metal pot, add Jojoba Wax, Emulsifying Wax, Hemp Seed Oil, and Aloe Vera Oil.
2. On a stove over low heat melt the waxes and oils.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Add Kokum Butter, Coconut Oil, Argan Oil, and Jojoba Oil, stir until melted.  You may need to place back on heat to melt completely.
5. Add Vitamin E and Fragrance* oil. Stir well.
6. Pour 1 oz., by weight, into tins and let cool completely before adding lids
7. Label product accordingly.

To Use: This balm will be a solid but not hard. Put a small amount between fingers and rub into skin and beard.
