About This Recipe:
This lotion is packed with moisturizing butters and oils that will create a barrier on your skin to help protect it during the cold, dry winter months.

(2) 2 oz Emulsifying Wax - Soft & Silky
(1) 2 oz Soybean Oil
(1) 2 oz MCT - Mid Chain Triglycerides Liquid
(1) 2 oz Macadamia Butter Blend
(1) 2 oz Cocoa Butter - Deodorized & Ultra White
(1) 2 oz Palm Oil
(1) 2 fl. oz Hot Cocoa Fragrance Oil 539
(1) 2 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
(1) 1/2 oz Vitamin E Natural T-50
(1) 2 oz Preservative - Sorbic Acid +2 PF (Compare to Optiphen Plus)
(1) 2.5 gm Bag Gingerbread Brown Mica Powder
(1) 2.5 gm Bag Caramel Brown Butterscotch Mica Powder

Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 22.40 oz. Distilled Water (not included in kit)
• 4 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Soft & Silky
• 1.60 oz. Soybean Oil
• 0.80 oz. MCT - Mid Chain Triglycerides Liquid
• 0.80 oz. Macadamia Butter Blend
• 0.65 oz. Cocoa Butter - Deodorized & Ultra White
• 0.65 oz. Palm Oil
• 0.65 oz. Hot Cocoa Fragrance Oil 539
• 0.65 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
• 0.30 oz. Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 0.15 oz. Preservative - Sorbic Acid +2 PF (Compare to Optiphen Plus)
• 3/8 Teaspoon(s) Gingerbread Brown Mica Powder
• 3/8 Teaspoon(s) Caramel Brown Butterscotch Mica Powder


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Hand Mixer or Stick Blender
• (2) Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup (32 oz.)
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Scissors
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Pastry Bag or Zip Close Bag
• (1) Distilled Water

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. In a plastic beaker, mix Hot Cocoa Fragrance Oil with Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Let set for at least 2 minutes. 
  2. In large bowl, add soybean oil, mid chain triglycerides liquid, macadamia nut butter, cocoa butter, palm oil and emulsifying wax.
  3. Heat in microwave until wax has completely melted.
  4. To a second microwave-safe measuring cup, add water and heat in microwave for about 1 minute. Slowly pour warmed water into bowl with oil/butter/wax mixture. 
  5. With hand mixer or stick blender, begin to blend water/wax mixture. 
  6. Continue to mix, scraping sides of bowl with spatula.
  7. Once lotion has thickened, add fragrance mixture, vitamin E and preservative.
  8. Continue to mix. Lotion will become light and airy with mixing.
  9. Remove 8 oz. (1 cup) of lotion and place in separate bowl. To remaining lotion, add Gingerbread Brown and Caramel Brown Butterscotch Mica Powder to color. Mix color in well.
  10. Using a cake decorating piping bag or zip close bag with tip cut off, fill each bottle with colored lotion filling about 3/4 full.
  11. Pipe uncolored lotion on top of lotion in bottle (dividing between 4 bottles).
  12. Cut dip tube to length of bottle and place on top.
  13. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply to skin as often as desired.
