Eucalyptus & Spearmint Shower Steamers

About This Recipe:

Create 20 revitalizing shower steamers with a balanced blend of spearmint, eucalyptus, peppermint and ginger. These steamers can be placed on the floor of a hot shower and are a great way to start or end your day!

Shopping List:

(2) 1 lb Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)

(1) 1 lb Citric Acid Powder

(2) 2 oz White Kaolin Clay

(1) 2 fl. oz Eucalyptus Spearmint - EO & FO Blend 608

(1) 2 oz Cocoa Butter Wafers - Ivory

(1) 1/2 oz Coconut Water Essential Hydrosol

(4) 1 Mold Lotus Guest Soap Mold (MW 246)

(1) 1 Piece Beaker - Natural Polypropylene

Recipe Ingredients:

• 20 oz. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 10 oz. Citric Acid Powder
• 4 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• .75 oz. Eucalyptus Spearmint - EO & FO Blend 608
• 0.70 oz. Cocoa Butter Wafers - Ivory
• .25 oz. Coconut Water Essential Hydrosol

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Large Mixing Bowl (64 oz.)
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (1) Jelly Roll Pans
• (1) Spatula

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

1. Add baking soda, citric acid and kaolin clay to bowl. Using a wire whisk, stir dry ingredients breaking up any clumps. 
2. Melt cocoa butter in microwave until melted and drizzle onto powders and mix.
3. Drizzle Eucalyptus & Spearmint EO & FO Blend onto powders and mix.
4. Drizzle coconut wayer hydrosol and immediately stir. (Mixture should hold together when squeezed.)
5. Place plastic molds onto jelly roll pans. Pack each cavity tightly with the bath fizzy mixture. (Hint: use the bottom of a plastic beaker to help pack mixture in tightly.)
6. Let molds sit for at least 24 hours to dry. Carefully pop out of mold.
7. Package as desired and label accordingly.

To Use: Place 1-2 shower steamers on the floor of the shower and let the warm water gently fizz the steamer and release the vapors.
