Coconut Icing Body Wash & Bubble Bath Recipe

About This Recipe:

This smooth and creamy liquid soap does double duty as a body wash and a bubble bath. We added skin-loving Coconut Milk Powder and a subtly sweet Shea & Coconut fragrance oil to create this bath time treat! This recipe makes (8) 16oz bottles – plenty to share with friends & family.

Shopping List:

(1) 1 Gallon (1 Jug) Liquid Suspension Soap Base

(2) 2 oz Bubble Wash Pearlizer

(1) 2 fl. oz Shea & Coconut Fragrance Oil 638

(1) 2 oz Polysorbate 80

(1) 2 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes

(1) 2 oz Coconut Milk Powder

(1) 2 oz Preservative - Water Soluble PF (Compare to Germall Plus)

(8) 1 Bottle 16 oz Clear Boston Round Plastic Bottle - 24/410

(8) 1 Piece 24/410 Black Smooth Disc Top Cap

Recipe Ingredients:

• 128 oz. Liquid Suspension Soap Base
• 4 oz. Bubble Wash Pearlizer
• 2 oz. Shea & Coconut Fragrance Oil 638
• 2 oz. Polysorbate 80
• 1 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
• 1 oz. Coconut Milk Powder
• 0.70 oz. Preservative - Water Soluble PF (Compare to Germall Plus)

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (2) Spatulas or Spoons
• (1) Mixing Cup - Small
• (1) Mixing Cup - Large

Directions:

1. In a large glass bowl or measuring cup, empty 64 oz of Liquid Suspension Soap Base.
2. Mix in 2  oz of Bubble Wash Pearlizer.
3. In plastic beaker, mix 1 oz Shea & Coconut Fragrance with 0.50 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Let sit for 2 minutes.
4. In a small mixing bowl, add fragrance mixture to 1 oz Polysorbate 80.
5. Add 0.50 oz Coconut Milk Powder to fragrance mixture and stir or whisk until powder is well incorporated and free of clumps
6. Stir in 0.35 oz Preservative and mix.
7. Add the mixture to the liquid soap base in larger bowl. Gently stir to incorporate ingredients.
8. Fill 4 bottles with 16 oz by weight. Pour any remaining mixture between bottles and apply caps.
9. Repeat steps 1-8 to fill remaining 4 bottles.
10. Label product accordingly.

 
To Use as Body Wash: Massage onto wet skin. Rinse with warm water.
To Use as Bubble Bath: Pour into running water and relax in the tub.
