About This Recipe:
This lotion is inspired by a popular retail lotion. The recipe contains all-natural, Brazilian Cupuacu Butter and Carrot Seed Oil for a heavier cream that quickly soaks into your skin.

(1) 2 oz Carrot Seed Oil
(1) 2 oz Emulsifying Wax - Traditional
(1) 2 oz Stearic Acid
(1) 2 fl. oz Bum Bum* Fragrance Oil 1255
(1) 2 oz Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
(1) 1/2 oz Vitamin E Natural T-50
(1) 2 oz Preservative - Water Soluble PF (Compare to Germall Plus)
(1) Distilled Water (Not Included in Kit)
(4) 1 Jars 08 oz Clear Heavy Wall Plastic Jar - 89/400
(4) 1 Piece 89/400 White Ribbed Top Cap - F217 Liner


Recipe Ingredients:
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 3.07 oz. Coconut Oil - 76º Melt
• 1.94 oz. Cupuacu Butter
• 1.61 oz. Carrot Seed Oil
• 1.01 oz. Emulsifying Wax - Traditional
• .97 oz. Stearic Acid
• 0.35 oz. Bum Bum* Fragrance Oil 1255
• 0.17 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
• 0.17 oz. Vitamin E Natural T-50
• 0.17 oz. Preservative - Water Soluble PF (Compare to Germall Plus)
• 22.60 oz. Distilled Water (Not Included in Kit)


Equipment From Home:
• (1) Scale - Digital Display
• (1) Microwave
• (1) Microwave Safe Bowl-Large
• (1) Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer
• (1) Spatula

Directions:
Directions:
  1. Add Coconut Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Cupuacu Butter, Vitamin E, Emulsifying Wax, and Stearic Acid to a microwave safe container. Microwave until waxes and butter are melted, or until mixture reaches ~ 170° F
  2. Add Distilled Water to a separate microwave safe container and microwave until ~170° F. Add to melted Oils/Butter/Wax.
  3. Stick blend to emulsify. 1-2 minutes
  4. Place mixture in refrigerator for 20-40 minutes until thickened
  5. Combine Fragrance and Vanilla Color Stabilizer and mix. Let sit for at least 2 minutes
  6. Gently mix thickened lotion and stir in Fragrance/Stabilizer mixture and Preservative
  7. Stick blend gently to fully incorporate. 1-2 minutes
  8. Fill jars with 7.5 oz of lotion but DO NOT CAP
  9. Let lotion fully cool before capping & labeling accordingly
To Use: Rub into skin as desired.
