Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace. - On a scale, pour 493 g distilled water into a glass measuring cup (note: the larger the surface area of the bowl or cup, the better).
- Add 2 g Preservative – Water Soluble PF to distilled water and mix well.
- In separate measuring cup, add 5 g hyaluronic acid.
- To distilled water mixture, lightly sprinkle hyaluronic acid over surface so that the powder is evenly distributed. Do not stir.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let sit. Periodically check bowl until all hyaluronic acid is ‘hydrated’ (no longer in powder form). This may take several hours.
- Once hyaluronic acid is fully hydrated (a transparent ‘skin’ should be visible at the surface of the water), use stick blender or stand mixer to fully incorporate product into water.
- Fill glass bottles to 50 g by weight.
To Use: As a face serum: Apply to face twice a day (morning and night) after cleansing and applying toner (optional). Follow serum with water-based moisturizer to optimize absorption. As an ingredient: Use hyaluronic acid stock in water phase of recipe.
