Cold creams date back over one thousand years. Cold creams moisturize while removing makeup and grime from the face. This cold cream might not be quite as heavy as your grandmother used but it will still remove makeup leaving your skin soft and moisturized all through the night.
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
To metal pot, add jojoba oil, rice bran oil, grape seed oil, cetyl alcohol flakes and emulsifying wax. Heat on low until completely melted. Set aside to cool to around 150°F.
In separate measuring cup, add rose water hydrosol and glycerin. Heat for 1 minute in microwave. Stir in polysorbate 80.
Using stick blender, begin to mix oil/wax mixture. Slowly add rose water mixture while blending. Mixture will quickly become emulsified and thicken.
Checking that lotion is at or under 122°F, add Vitamin E, Vitamin B3, and preservative and blend in.
Fill jars with product and let completely cool before adding lids.
Label product accordingly.
To Use: Apply layer of cold cream to face. Using a tissue or washcloth, gently wipe off. No need to rinse.
