Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace. - Weigh 6 oz. of beeswax and place in metal pot for melting.
- Place pot on heat source and heat on low until beeswax has completely melted.
- Stir in 1/4 Teaspoon of Nutone Red Mica Powder. Stir well until the powder is disolved and there are no speckles. More color can be added to darken the wax, if desired.
- Remove from heat and add 0.25 oz of Fragrance Oil and mix in well.
- Wax can be poured once the temperature has cooled to 150° F.
- Place the mold on a scale and tare. Pour 2 ounce of melted wax into each cavity
- Once the wax has started to harden, place in a freezer for about 10-15 minutes.
- After they have set up, place upside down on a covered surface and let set at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
- Carefully press on the center of each cavity to release the ornaments.
- Reheat 6 ounces in the pot and melt.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of Shimmering Dark Gold Mica Powder and stir well.
- Take wax off heat and add 0.25 ounces of fragrance and stir well.
- Pour 2 ounces of wax into each cavity when the wax is around 150 degrees.
- Repeat step 7 and 8.
- With a dowel or skewer carefully poke a hole throught the top of the ornament and thread the raffia through. Tie in a knot.
- Package as desired.
- Label product accordingly. A warning should be placed on label to keep ornaments out of heat or sunlight.
