Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace. - Assemble the Star Column Silicone Mold and the Tree Column Silicone Mold making sure all sides are firmly linked together. Place mold on a cookie sheet to give it stability and also to catch any soap should it leak out. Prop sides of molds against something solid to keep molds from falling over.
- STAR: To a microwave-safe measuring cup, add 7.5 oz. cut up clear soap. Add 1/4-1/2 of Light Gold Mica color block. Heat in microwave until soap has melted. Mix well.
- Once soap has cooled to around 125°F, pour into star column mold. Pouring soap too hot will cause the mold to bow. Spritz top of melted soap with alcohol to release any bubbles.
- TREE: To microwave-safe measuring cup, add 15 oz. cut up clear soap. Add 1/2 of Woodland Green color block. Heat in microwave until melted.
- Add 0.45 oz. Apple Balsam Pine fragrance oil and 1 tsp. sparkle glitter and stir well.
- When soap has cooled to 125°F, pour into tree column mold. Spritz top with alcohol and let soap completely harden.
- To remove soap, carefully pull sides apart and remove soap from mold. Trim any excess soap from the sides of the tree or star with a soap cutter or a potato peeler.
- To a microwave-safe measuring cup, add 24 oz. of cut up Goat Milk soap. Heat in microwave for about 3 minutes or until completely melted.
- Add 0.70 oz. of fragrance and mix well.
- Let soap cool to 130°F or less. Pour small amount of soap into mold, just enough to cover the bottom.
- Spritz the entire tree with alcohol and place inside the mold centering in the middle. Slowly pour soap on either side of tree until almost covered.
- Spritz star column well with alcohol and place on top of tree, making sure it is straight on both ends. Spritz soap in mold then pour remaining goat milk soap filling to the top. The top of the star will be sticking out. Spritz again to remove any bubbles and let soap completely harden.
- When completely set, gently pull sides away from soap. Turn mold over and gently push from bottom until loaf releases.
- Cut soap into 8 slices using a mitre box, if available. Wrap bars in airtight packaging of choice.
- Label product accordingly.
