Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and work area.
  1. To large mixing bowl, add baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch and 4 oz. Epsom salt. Mix well to blend ingredients. Break up any clumps with spoon or gloved hands.
  2. In beaker, melt 1.35 oz. coconut oil 76° in microwave. Drizzle into large bowl.
  3. To same beaker, add water, polysorbate 80 and fragrance. In different areas, drizzle liquid into bowl of powder mixture. Immediately, start to mix with gloved hands as mixture will start to fizz.
  4. Add ¼ tsp.rose gold mica powder blending well. Set aside.
  5. In 4 small mixing bowls, add 1 oz. Epsom salts to each bowl. Add 3-4 micro scoops of gold, blue, yellow and purple mica powders to separate bowls. Add more if darker shade is desired.
  6. Taking ½ of bath bomb mold, fill half way with mixture from large bowl. Press down into the mold then up along sides going up to the top creating about ¼ inch edge around the mold. There should be a crevice or hole in the middle to be filled with the colored salts.
  7. In a plastic beaker, melt 1.50 oz. coconut oil.
  8. Add different colored bath salts into the middle. The uncolored Euro salts can be added along with the colored salts to add a different texture or simply sprinkled on top.
  9. Drizzle melted coconut oil over the salts to hold them in place.
  10. Add uncolored European salts around the top or mixed in with the other colors, if desired.
  11. You can choose to sprinkle some mica powder on top of them once finished.
  12. Continue until all eight geodes are made, using different color combinations or techniques. Color more salts as needed. Let sit overnight to harden.
  13. Carefully remove from molds. If stubborn, tap gently on countertop and they should pop right out.
  14. Break off some of the light-colored edge to create an uneven edge to the geode.
  15. Paint a silver or rose gold rim around each one. To do this, mix a small amount of rubbing alcohol with one micro scoop of mica powder.
  16. Using a child’s paintbrush, brush the mica around the edge.
  17. When dry, package as desired.
  18. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Place under running water and watch it fizz and the colors swirl.
