This scrub contains shorea (sal) butter and coconut oil which will leave your skin moisturized while the combination of pink sea salts and sugar help to exfoliate and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. Beet Root Powder, which is high in vitamins and antioxidants, adds a natural color to the scrub.
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
To a large mixing bowl, add Shorea (Sal) Butter and Coconut 76 Oil. (If Coconut 76 oil is solid, place bottle in hot water until melted.)
Place bowl in microwave and heat on 50% power until butter has completely melted.
Place bowl in refrigerator for one hour or just until it starts to thicken.
Using a hand mixer, whip until smooth and creamy.
Slowly add sugar while continuing to whip.
Add fragrance and preservative and whip to blend. Whip for a minute or two until fluffy.
Divide mixture evenly into two bowls, approximately 15 oz. each.
To one bowl, add 1 tsp. Beet Root Powder blending with hand mixer until incorporated.
To second bowl, add 2 oz. pink sea salts mixing just until blended.
Add to jars by filling half with beet root powder and half with pink salts. Fill as desired, side by side or in layers. Each jar should hold approximately 3.20-3.40 oz.
Clean jars of any excess product and apply lids.
Label product accordingly.
To Use: Massage scrub onto wet skin and rinse with warm water.
