Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace. - Print provided gridlines (templates available on kit page under SDS & Documents) on 2 sheets of Embed Paper. This is only a suggestion; you can leave the paper plain, use one of the templates provided or make your one designs to print. The soap paper when finished will be cut into 1.7” x 0.7” pieces.
- Prepare Embed Paper for hanging (See notes below**)
- Cut and measure out 4 oz of MP soap base in a microwavable safe container.
- Melt soap in microwave until melted (30 second increments recommended).
- Measure out 0.2 oz of essential oil and add to melted soap. Mix until blended well.
- Using a sheet pan or wax paper on counter, place one sheet of Embed Paper down.
- Pour approximately 1 oz of the soap on one side of the paper and spread evenly with a paint brush to coat the sheet (or pour at end of sheet and paint up). We found a foam brush works best.
- Carefully, pull up the paper by the attached clips or hanger and flip over. Pour another 1 oz of soap and spread to coat the backside of paper.
- Carefully pull up the paper again and hang where desired with the hanger or hang on the prepared dowels/skewers.
- Repeat the process with the other sheet, coating each side with approximately 1 oz of soap.
- Allow to dry completely (recommended overnight).
- Once dry, carefully clean up any excess soap around edges and cut into 1.7” x 0.7” pieces (cut along gridlines if template was used).
- Place 12-14 pieces (depends on thickness of soap) in a slide tin and label accordingly.
To Use: Take one piece and add water, then lather with hands. **Options to hang sheets: - Hanger (2) with Clothes Pins (4)
- Using the clothes pins (two for each sheet), clip the sheet to the hanger at the top of paper (only use about 1 inch or above the thick line if gridlines printed).
- Once paper is coated use the hanger to hang to dry.
- Hanger (2) with tape
- Tape the top of paper sheet to the bottom of hanger (only use about 1 inch or above the thick line if gridlines printed)
- Once paper is coated use the hanger to hang to dry.
- Binder Clips (4) with Wood Dowels/Skewers (2)
- Place two clips on top of each sheet (only use about 1 inch or above the thick line if gridlines printed) about 5-6 inches apart.
- Place the two wood dowels/skewers (or other similar objects) about 5-6 inches apart on a table, counter, shelf, or other surface. Move the dowels/skewers so there are partially hanging off surface and secure by placing a heavier object on top.
- Once paper is coated hang the sheet with the binder clip hooks on the two dowels/skewers to dry.
