Barrier Cream: A topical formulation used as a cosmetic to place a physical barrier between the skin and contaminants that may irritate the skin (contact dermatitis). Barrier creams usually contain one or more active ingredients and are regulated as cosmetics that are also Over-the-Counter (OTC) medications.

Dimethicone: Polydimethylsiloxane or PDMS is a silicon-based polymer used as a conditioning agent and skin protectant. Dimethicone can also be found in many cooking oils and processed foods.

Zinc Oxide: Powdered, oxidized zinc derived from the naturally occurring mineral, zincite, and routinely used in a wide range of consumer products. ZnO is widely used as a skin protectant ingredient in cosmetics and is used in concentrations up to 40% in Over-The-Counter (OTC) diaper rash ointments.

Isopropyl Myristate: The ester of isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid and is used in cosmetic and topical medicinal preparations where good absorption into the skin is desired.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste: Was created in the 1970s by George Boudreaux of Covington, Louisiana, while he was working as an intern pharmacist. He continued to work on the formula after becoming a licensed pharmacist and sold it at his pharmacy, later naming it "Boudreaux's Butt Paste" after a physician told him a story about a patient who had referred to the product as such.
