This size Luffa is cut in 7/8 inch slices and is ready to be embedded into soap! Use this natural exfoliant to create your own pedicure soaps or exfoliating bars! Cosmetic Loofah is perfect for pampering pedicure bars of soap.
Note: Color and exact size may vary depending on crop and farm.
Once the gourds have matured, they are picked and allowed to dehydrate for over 6 months. The remaining insides of the gourd plant are cleaned and sold to the cosmetic industry as loofah. Loofah is considered an all natural exfoliant. The loofah that is 7/8 inch thick has been pre-cut to this size. This size is a perfect size for embedding into a bar of soap. Color and exact size may vary depending on crop and farm.

To embed luffa into a bar of soap, place luffa slice in desired mold. Pour melted mp soap or cp soap over the luffa and completely fill mold. Unmold soap when hard.

COMMENTS: These are the perfect size to go with the round clamshells! I've ordered from other places and I never knew what size I'd be getting. Some would be too big, some would be too small. These are always very similar in size and I can actually use them all instead of having to toss some because they don't fit my molds.

"Too un-uniform to use" |

COMMENTS: I've always been happy with my purchases, this is more an exception than the rule. I read the good reviews and decided to give it a try, sounded much easier than cutting them myself. First, the thickness ranges from 1/2 inch to 3/4 (not 7/8) which I was not as concerned with as the circumference. The sizes range from just under 2 inches to 3 1/4 inches, 2 inches being too small and 3 1/4 is too big for what I need, very few were of medium size. They were only $10 so I am fine with using what I can but thought I would share my experience. In the future I will just cut them myself so I know I have what I need.( I am going to try to post a picture in the images area). If you are looking for something uniform in thickness and size, this is not it (unless I just got a bad batch).

COMMENTS: I have purchased these multiple times and love to use them in our luffa cold process goat milk soap. They work great. Also if I need something to set soap on to let it dry between uses and I don't have a soap dish that drains well, I will grab just a plain piece of luffa and put the soap on it. These luffa work well using the circle mold that WSSP sells. I just wish that the pieces of luffa were more uniform in size. I know it is a natural product. I like that they are cut up and ready to go.

COMMENTS: We bought these to use in our loofah soaps, and thought they'd be easier than buy one long loofah because these are already precut. The thickness of them is absolutely perfect, but the diameter varies and sometimes I end up with ones I can't use because they won't fit into the mold we are using. Overall, they work perfect for what we want to achieve, and they also outlast the soap base which means our customers can continue to use them for quite a while.

COMMENTS: I purchased these for making a spring time foot loofa for exfoliating your feet for summer sandal time wear. Melt and pour incorporates easily into the loofa. I had to purchase a round mold for setting the loofa into. After setting the loofa into the mold filling the mold will allow for the loofa to become one with the soap.

COMMENTS: I ordered 24 of these pre-cut luffa sponge slices to use inside the basic 3" round silicone mold. Most of them fit perfectly. A few are too large but I can either use them with another mold, or- I think- wet them , fit them inside the 3" mold and allow them to dry before pouring liquid soap over them. COMMENTS: These luffa slices are awesome for using with melt and pour soap to make pedicure soaps. I add peppermint essential oil to the m&p base and they sell like hotcakes - especially during the summer when everyone wants their feet to look their best for flip flop weather!

COMMENTS: These are a much have! I use these in Pamper Me Pedicure (recipe) a product which sells itself time and time again. These pre-cut pieces certainly speed up production when compared to cutting from the 5" or 10" luffa!
