Use this Snowflake Mini Column Soap Mold to design a winter wonderland! Combine with the Crafter's Choice® Snowflake Column Mold to make snow flurries in your soap. Embed fits in Crafter's Choice Regular Loaf Silicone Mold 1501 and Rectangle Regular Column Silicone Soap Mold 2009.
Common Uses:
Melt & Pour Soap. Cold Process Soap.
Points of Interest:
This soap column mold makes one 1” soap column that can be embedded into a loaf. The silicone construction allows for easy soap removal. One side of the mold is hinged and three sides have edges that seal closed. The mold can stand on its own, but we recommend leaning it against an upright mitre box or a sturdy object before filling with soap. See “Directions” for more information on how to use this mold.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. For added safety, clamp the edges. Slowly pour melted soap no hotter than 130ºF into mold. Allow soap to harden then open mold and remove soap. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. To minimize bowing, fill in three pours allowing the soap to harden between pours.
Cold Process Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together, and clamp the edges. Slowly pour traced soap into mold. After at least 24 hours, open mold and remove soap with gloved hands. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Care: Hand wash mold in warm, sudsy water.

"Too Cute!" |
COMMENTS: I received awhile ago but just tried this mold last nite. I clamped it all around because I noticed other reviewers for column molds said the seals were not tight, I tried first with out clamps, just using water to test and it leaked. With the clamps tiny bit of leakage at the seams. It un-molded nicely, no problems. Little cleanup in a few spots, but success! Very satisfied with this mold, but would like to see it a little longer so I can use it in my loaf pan. Can’t wait to use it for my holiday soaps!!
