Milky Way Soap Molds can tolerate temperatures of 135-145 degrees F. Above these temperatures, warping may occur. Soap is easiest to release 12-24 hours after cooling.
Wash molds in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Pour melted soap at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF into mold. Cool until soap has hardened. Remove soap from mold. For easier unmolding, place into freezer for 30 minutes, and then immerse bottom of the mold in hot water for a few moments. Do not use cooking spray to coat mold.
Cold Process Soap: Coat the mold with cooking spray. Pour soap at trace into mold. After 24 hours, flip mold over onto a clean surface. Gently push the back of the mold until the soap begins to release then pull the soap out of the mold with a gloved hand. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some CP soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Lotion Bars: Pour melted lotion bar mixture into mold cavities at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Allow mixture to solidify. Flip mold over onto clean surface. Gently push back of mold until lotion bar begins to release then pull bar out of mold.
Bath Fizzies: Tightly pack bath fizzy mixture into each mold cavity. Allow to harden and dry. (For best results, leave in mold overnight). Flip mold over onto clean surface and gently push bath fizzies out of mold.
Care:
Wash in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

"Great design BUT......." |
COMMENTS: Was so excited to get this mold for my grandsons Jr ROTC Air Force Party. Poured in the soap and it all started running to one side. Looked closely and one of the cavities was about 1/2” less deep than the others which of course made all of the melted soap run downhill. . Quickly propped it up to keep more soap from running out. Called customer service the next day and they were kind enough to
Immediately ship out a replacement mold. Got the replacement and it was exactly the same way. I even went so far as to put a contractors level on my counter to make sure it was totally level and it was, which confirmed the molds both had defects. Didn’t call again about this problem as I just propped up both molds on the low ends because I only had 5 days to get all of the 43 soaps made, cured and packaged in time for the event. This must be a defect from the manufacturer. Not sure. But the ROTC loved the soaps.

"Not as I had hoped" |
COMMENTS: I bought this mold when it was first released and was looking forward to having something special at my craft show on Veteran's Day. Unfortunately, as previously reviewed, the detailing was difficult to highlight. I used mica on melt and pour soap and it definitely doesn't look as I had hoped. I tried a brush, foam brush and finger painting but none worked to create a good product.

"Detailing is very light" |
COMMENTS: Tried several different methods to get this mold to "pop"- but the detailing/impression is so faint no matter what method I tried (opaque soap, light, dark, clear, dusted with mica etc)it didnt matter. I was hoping this would be a good item for the veterans and active duty that we support.
