Arrowroot Powder is a wonderful replacement for talc or kaolin clay in many cosmetic and skincare formulations. It imparts a silky texture to formulations, similar to cyclomethicone. COMMENTS: If you're making deodorant, this is such a necessary ingredient. The cost is good for the amount, and it does the job. This powder is easily susceptible to spilling, so I would recommend getting a small scoop before trying to measure it out of the bag.

COMMENTS: When I first started making body butters, they we're always super oily. They were excellent quality but the oily always messed up customers clothes, bedding, etc. I looked for solutions to this problem and came across arrowroot powder. I quickly whipped up a batch of body butter and added the arrowroot powder. I was so thrilled when I applied the butter to my skin and it was not oily and the quality remained the same.

I use it to add softness to shaving soap, as a non-toxic substitute for talc in dog grooming powder, as a whitener in lotion bars when I want to avoid the oxides (some customers prefer only plant-based ingredients), and as a substitute for cornstarch in fizzes (some customers object to the qualities of cornstarch – a GMO and monocrop product.)
