COMMENTS: This accelerates and had ricing in cold process soap. Even did a second batch at much lower temperature and it still did the same thing. Love the scent, but hard to work with.

"Smells great, but it SIEZES!" |

COMMENTS: This fragrance is one that I make in soap every year or two. My customers LOVE it. I have to rebatch the soap I make it with, though, because as soon as the fragrance oil hits the soap batter, it becomes soap on a stick almost instantly. So I make my soap first (unfragranced), grind it up after unmolding, and then melt it down in a crockpot and add the scent to it before plopping it back into the mold. That way you get to enjoy the scent, with only a little bit of hassle. :)

COMMENTS: It smells great! I soaped at low temp and the acceleration was severe. Ricing was mild. If the scent is popular, I will try a simple, one-color-only instead of attempting a 2 color ITP swirl.

COMMENTS: This product smells ok. Not amazing, not bad, just ok. I purchased because it had good reviews. My recipe has olive, palm, coconut, castor and sweet almond. I used titanium dioxide and activated charcoal. However when I added the FO I started noticing clumps, first it was just a few little ones but then it was bigger clumps that did not get better. I continued and poured it in the mold. The next day when I cut the bars there was FO seeping out of the bars and the clumps were visible even though I had stick blended to break them up. So disappointing. I had to through all 10 bars away.

COMMENTS: I had seen comments where persons said it was said this fragrance oil may behave badly. However, I made a soap with Activated Charcoal and this Fragrance Oil and it behaved very well. It didn't thicken up on me or anything. I was kind of scared to use it but I didn't have any manly scented soaps and I really love how this one smells. I am glad I used it and will use it again.

COMMENTS: I got this fragrance for a custom order. My friend wanted something that smelled similar to the absurdly expensive, mass-produced, but sexy-smelling melt-and-pour soap her boyfriend had been using, and she picked this one out of a lineup. I didn't use any color in this batch. I worked at about 100 degrees and mixed the fragrance in by hand at very light trace. I didn't notice the ricing mentioned in the description. It accelerated to a light-medium trace and I poured right away. You won't want to do anything too complicated with this fragrance, but my customer liked the smell, and there's nothing wrong with a simple soap!

COMMENTS: This EO & FO blend smells delicious! I like it a lot more than I already imagined I would, especially after soaping with it. It has a light, refreshing, masculine smell. I can see women liking this, but it does lean more masculine. I saw others mention problems with acceleration or ricing so I increased the amount of liquid oils in my recipe, used only one color (mixed into oils before adding lye solution), and soaped at a lower temperature. I did not have issues with ricing. It did start to accelerate trace once added, but the batter was fully manageable and I was able to get it into the mold before it got too thick. I will certainly be buying this again.

COMMENTS: This is a nice, semi spicy, floral that has a definite unisex appeal.
Take a whiff and think 'men's products' and you nod your head, yes, nice.
Take another whiff and think 'women's products' and you're thinking umhum, high end, very nice. It could be marketed either way.
This would make a great linen spray, room freshener, cologne, etc.

COMMENTS: It smells good, but the moment it hit the soap immediately started to rice. Trying to stick blend it out wasn't easy, and then the darn soap set up so fast I had to PLOP it in the mold! COMMENTS: I've had my eye on this fragrance oil for the longest time and I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner. I did 4 layers (2 blue and 2 white) for a nautical look and had NO issues! I soap at room temp with a 33% water discount, poured into 4 measuring cups and added in colorant and fragrance oil for each separate layer, letting it set up before pouring the next. No acceleration, no ricing just perfection. The scent is nice and strong and I'm pretty sure it'll stick through curing.

Everyone loves a clean fresh cut scent from a salon. This is it! Warning: A little goes a long way. * It does rice a little bit but truly is very easy to blend out. I was able to do a multi diagonal design with a pencil thin mica line. I am positive this scent will stay in my line. Outstanding!

COMMENTS: We recently changed the scents of our men's line and this is one that we chose to go with it. Now it seems to have taken the lead and is the best seller. I could not like this scent more. It has a nice clean barber smell that is not too strong and it clings well in everything it has been used in.

COMMENTS: I ordered a small bottle of this fragrance based on the reviews I had read, and I’m glad I did. This scent smelled very clean and fresh right OOB. I can see how one can imagine actually being in a Barber Shop talking it up with the guys on a weekday afternoon, the scent is that good. I plan to order this fragrance again but in a bigger bottle, as it is a great scent for a men’s line of products.

COMMENTS: I really love this fragrance. It kind of starts off like a nice cologne and then ends in this sweet soap smell. Really really nice. I didn't have issues with it accelerating at all. I was prepared for it and chose to do a solid colour bar. I soaped cool but I also had a very steep water discount. I waited till the last minute to add my fragrance and it looked like it was going to start seizing and riced the very slightest bit. I had planned to hand stir the fragrance in but I needed to blitz that ricing. Once I started in with my immersion blender, the ricing went away and it seemed like it started going MORE fluid. Like, it almost switched from seizing to going thinner? Anyway, I blended for as long as I wanted till it looked creamy smooth. It poured at a light to medium trace. Very nice. I will say that I only had to wait like....5 minutes to be able to texture the top and it felt hot. Either way, I had a great time with it. Smells fantastic.

COMMENTS: I actually like this one more than I expected to. I had waited to try a sample of this longer than I should have. It is nice out a bottle. Has a touch of sweet at the end. I made cold process soap with it. My husband and I really like how the fragrance came out. It does move faster than some fragrances, but it is not crazy and out of control. I did a three color swirl and had plenty of time to pour it into the mold... but I wouldn’t linger any longer than necessary with this one. I added my fragrance just before pouring.

COMMENTS: Used this last night in CP base of olive, coconut, palm, rice bran. Fo did speed up trace but was able to do 3 color swirl. Soap batter was at a very thick trace & I was not sure what I would find when I cut log. Cut today for a beautiful swirl of white, ultramarine blue & activated charcoal. Next time I soap with this fragrance I will not do a water reduction, will also soap at room temp & try adding fo after colors are mixed.

COMMENTS: I got this FO as a sample. I love the FO so I decided to cp this and read the other reviews and was ready for anything. Well it riced as soon as the FO hit the batter, was able to stick blend it out only for it to accelerate, I was still able to get 3 colors in the mold. I do like this FO, so next time I will HP the soap.

COMMENTS: This is not one of my all time favorite FOs. But a couple of the guys in my family like it. I had only ordered the 2 oz size so I tried it in a 1# batch of CP soap. Having read the reviews, I felt ok with putting it into my oils before mixing in my lye solution. I was working with 3 colors & before I even got finished portioning out the batter for the first color, it became so thick that it was impossible to pour. It wound up being the consistency of a thick bread dough. So I just used 1 color & had to knead the color in by hand. Used my hands (gloved) and packed it down into the mold. Going to use the remaining amount of the FO for a shave soap. I think I will have a lot better success with it in that application. I always try to keep in mind that just b/c it's not necessarily one of my favorite scents doesn't mean that other people won't like it.

COMMENTS: I purchased this for my customers as another option. Prior to any distribution, my husband has to be my guiana pig for a few days. I was preoccupied and when my husband walked by and I said what are you wearing because it smelled slightly different than it did in the bottle. It was very nice and pleasing to the nose. I made a solid perfume for him to use. When I first made and poured into the jars but the scent had not settled in yet and I actually thought that the scent was going to be too faint. I guess it needed a few days to meld together and I am glad it did. Great scent.

COMMENTS: I used this lovely fragrance in a cold process shaving soap recipe with shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, coconut oil, beef tallow and castor oil. I used about a 12% ratio to the soaping oils and my water to lye ratio was 2.0 to 1. I have made this twice and each time the fragrance accelerated. I was pouring the soap into shaving mugs and because of the acceleration was not able to get a glass smooth finish on the soap as I wanted. The scent is WONDERFUL but the acceleration makes it difficult to work with.

THOUGH LADIES THIS IS FOR YOU TOO! I actually added this into my Cranberry Fizz Luxury Hand & Body Cream and it compliments the Cranberry Fizz FO incredibly well!! It gives the product as really Luxurious and 'expensive' aroma that I've come across in high end stores on my travels but I always took samples as I couldn't afford 1k for a tiny pot of cream! So DON'T write this off as just a 'Men's fragrance', it can work really well in women's products too!

COMMENTS: I made shaving soap with this. It's a very fresh, clean scent that fit the bill perfectly and is strong- I used 1% less than I usually do. I swear I've smelled this exact scent somewhere before around 20 years ago, it's driving me crazy trying to figure out where...not at a barber shop haha! It must have been a cologne or aftershave. When I saw this fragrance, I figured it would definitely meet the definition of whatever a "traditional" manly scent would be. It does! I have found it a little tough though to land on the usage rate for where I would like the fragrance to be at in my finished product. I have found there is a fine line between light scent... to just right... to over the top. I will definitely keep working at it and dialing it in on each product I use it in. I want to use it in cold process soap next. This fragrance also seems to easily thin my shower gels.

COMMENTS: This has been great in shave soaps. It gives men a nice and clean option that is not a cologne type fragrance. Most guys even wanted a salt scrub made from it. They loved a salt scrub but didn't like the usual "fruity" fragrances that most scrubs come in at the chain stores. This has such a clean scent with just enough masculinity.

COMMENTS: I have been wanting to make a shaving soap for a long time, but was unable to find a scent suitable to me. I was very pleased upon opening this and getting a good sniff. It holds up well in cold process soap and in mustache wax. My wife does not like fragrances and she actually approves of this one. So you may just want to order the big bottle you will not be disappointed at all.

COMMENTS: My clients absolutely LOVE this fragrance but CP soap making was difficult to say the least - in the beginning. Much ricing occurred and I couldn't quite beat it out. I went through many batches soaping hi temp and low temp. Finally I put the fragrance in with the oils at the beginning and all turned out fine! I even have time to do my signature swirling. Glad I kept experimenting with this.

COMMENTS: When I first started making soaps, all of my fragrances were for women or were unisex. When I decided to make soap for men, I started with this fragrance and it was an instant hit! It truly has that classic barbershop smell and behaves very well in cold process soap. Also, it has great staying power so you do not have to use a lot of scent your soap. If you plan on making shaving cream, soap or lotions for men, start with this fragrance. You will not be disappointed.
