The waters from the Dead Sea are unique in that they contain 27% of various salts as compared to 3% in normal sea water. The balance of the minerals are magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides. This is great as a natural exfoliant in salt bars and scrubs. Great for bath salts.

Further, while sodium accounts for approximately 80% of the salt content of normal sea water, it comprises much less of the salt total in water from the Dead Sea. The balance of the salts in Dead Sea water are magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides. All Natural.

COMMENTS: I purchased fine grain but got the coarse sea salt instead, which is fine but the price is different. The quality of product is good. I would consider switching to coarse considering the grain will melt off a bit during the process of mixing.

COMMENTS: Bought this for bath salt gifts and I always get the “fine” grain so it will dissolve faster, but the grains in this salt are way too small for that purpose so I’ll be using them for my own personal foot baths. Definitely not “gift” material. They range from very small to tiny and have small chalky white flat jagged pieces throughout which I’ve never seen in dead sea salts before. For reference, the grains in course table salt are larger than this and more uniform in size. I suggest purchasing the “course” if you want to make bath salts.

COMMENTS: This is the REAL DEAL! when it comes to dead sea salt. It has a....odd....smell. Its not your average table salt. IT may even be a little too strong for your product, you might have to dilute it with another type of dead sea salt thats more refined, thats what I am doing because I am surprised at the pure quality of this item. Its not bad. Its just that its very strong and in my specific formula I need the product to be a little soft on the skin because its going on the face. I found it to be a little drying so I had to dilute it with another dead sea salt thats been refined so its edible. This dead sea salt says DO NOT EAT on it. wow! must be really powerful stuff.

COMMENTS: I do like it very much, but I feel its the same as anywhere, I personally love dead seat salt but its a bit difficult to work with when I want to add it to anything, especially my bath bombs because salt attracts water and I fight with the humidity to keep my bath bombs from fizzing. COMMENTS: I really like this fine grain dead sea salt. It is consistently great without debris in it that I have found from other suppliers. It also is truly "fine". I have bought from other suppliers and it was much coarser. It makes my salt scrub have the nicest texture. I am very very pleased with it.

COMMENTS: These lend themselves well to salt scrubs, the grain is not ~super fine~ and slightly inconsistent, which makes it a little rustic but a very good grain for face and hand scrubs. I've also been putting these in bath bombs and while they do weigh the bombs down and stunt fizz, they make the water feel really nice :)

However, I did only use a little, about 1 tsp per pound of oil, because I did not want to have weeping soap and so far no problems. I love the label appeal!

COMMENTS: Very nice quality, very fine grain salts. Dissolve easily in water. I prefer the look of the larger grain, so will probably order those next time. But this is a great product.

COMMENTS: I love buying this in 2oz. increments. The salt is fine and dissolves well in the soap batter. Also, I don't have to weigh the bags. Instead, I dump however many I need into the mix. I've used this successfully with CP, HP, scrubs, and CPOP. I cannot think of anything I would change. Much easier than weighing out commercial sea salts and finer grain.
