This Beeswax is Ivory in color and is a larger pastille size than our White and Yellow Beeswax. It is naturally refined and remains ivory colored in products. This cost effective beeswax is great for lotion bars, wax tarts and lip balms!

Directions:
Lip Products: Melt beeswax in double boiler or small pot on low heat. Once melted, add solid butters. Remove from heat. Add liquid oils and flavor oil. Mix well. Pour into lip tubes, small jars or other lip product packaging. View our Lip Product Recipes for detailed instructions.
Lotion Bars: Melt beeswax in double boiler or pot on low heat. Once melted, add solid butters. Remove from heat. Add liquid oils and fragrance. Mix well. Pour into mold or lotion bar container at an appropriate temperature for mold or packaging. Allow mixture to solidify. View our Lotion Bar Recipes for detailed instructions.
Air Fresheners: Melt equal parts beeswax and palm kernel flakes (102º melt) in a small pot on low heat. Remove from heat. Incorporate fragrance. Pour into mold at an appropriate temperature for the mold. Allow mixture to solidify. Unmold and enjoy. View our Air Freshener Recipes for detailed instructions.
CP Soap: Use at about 1-3% of your oils and calculate with your oils in a lye calculator. Beeswax has a high melt point so raise the temperature of the oils to about 160ºF or 170ºF before mixing it in. It is necessary to soap hotter, around 120ºF, and be prepared for accelerated trace. COMMENTS: This used to be a great product that I purchased many times, but no longer. The first time I received the chemical-scented batch I reached out to customer service with the lot number and told them that it was unusable due to the strong chemical smell. I had made lip balm with it and had to throw the whole batch out. They agreed that it did smell very strongly, and quickly replaced it with a bag of their ultra refined white beeswax, which was just fine. I again ordered this beeswax a month or so later, assuming they would have thrown the bad lot number out. I received the same lot number, and it smells just as bad. This time customer service told me I can return it at my own expense....not really worth it if I have to pay return shipping, and then shipping again to get a usable product. Don't buy this stuff, it stinks...literally.

COMMENTS: I bought this to use in lotion bars to have a more true color, if the customer wants some color. The results were wonderful. I added some pink color for a hibiscus lotion bar and it turned out fantastic. The leaves from the botanicals also came through nicely against the white bar and looked fantastic. My next project will be a coconut lime lotion bar and I am expecting equally wonderful results.

COMMENTS: I usually use bees wax bars that take a while to melt, this is my first time using pellets. They melted very fast and blended beautifully with my shea butter. There was no funky smell or discoloration.

COMMENTS: For years I have been buying blocks of beeswax and grating it to save money. I have almost grated my finger, broken numerous graters and spent sooo much time doing that that it wasn't fun anymore. I hope to never do that again!!! I am finally getting pastilles! What a relief! lol I am gifting myself and will probably stick with this beeswax and enjoy making my products with it - just because!!! Happy New Year to me!

COMMENTS: This was my first experience with ivory beeswax. It was very affordable and performed well in candles. The strong smoky scent does not make it ideal for unscented lotion bars or balms.
