COMMENTS: I am not much for the sweetness of this one but thats just my personal preference, I do think it would be great for someone who does though because I didn't find it unpleasant just a little sweet. However, the low star is for the behavior in cold process soap. It riced almost immediately when mixed at around 125º, then began to separate. The batches are savable though if you just keep mixing it will head into gel phase and you end up with hot process essentially. I am writing this review right after my batch so I don't know if the scent will flash out due to it having a flashpoint of 150º and it hit about 154º. I will use this again as I think it's a scent that will sell well, I will more than likely stick to lotions, fizzies and candles.
I would recommend this product, just not for CP/HP Soap due to the seizing and low flashpoint.

COMMENTS: Accelerated very fast & I only used a spatula to stir in. Ruined my batch because I was trying to use the wine glass molds...the soaps will have to be for my use only as they are not fit to sell. I will use the rest up in wax melts/candles & not order again. I do like the scent though.

COMMENTS: The Fragrance smelled terrible to me, but I know every nose is different so I'm not so worried about that. It accelerated terribly in my room temperature cold process soap. Granted I do use a decent water discount but man, soap on a stick within a minute of hand stirring the Fragrance in!

COMMENTS: To be honest it's not my personal favorite scent, however it sells like hotcakes in the wineries I sell to. It performs well in CP, I have had slight acceleration but I soap cool and work fairly fast with this one. It holds it's scent well in all products and a little bit really goes a along way. It's strong and long lasting. In lotions my hands still smell like it long after using. The smell out of the bottle is not great kind of reminds me of cough syrup but once it's in the product it seems to calm down and you begin to pickup the notes of black cherry and the merlot. I have a test bar of cp soap that is a little over a year old and it still smells as strong as it did right after the month cure time.

COMMENTS: I know this isn't a BBW dupe but I bought it because I was obsessed with the black cherry merlot hand soap that they make, and while this isn't exactly the same (I wasn't expecting it to be) I still LOVE it! It's a little more heavy on the merlot scent but the cherry is definitely still present.

"Great for candles, not for CP soap" |

COMMENTS: I made soy candles for a special request and was pleased with the final result. I could definitely smell a wine scent, and didn't think it was too strong or sweet. Then I tried CP soap. Good thing I used full water, because it riced and accelerated trace pretty quickly. I also got a full gel. Two days into it and it smells like stinky burnt wine. I'm expecting the bars to turn brown because of the vanilla content, but I'm really hoping the smell mellows out. I will not be making any more CP soap with this fragrance, but I will use the rest of what I have for candles.

COMMENTS: This is my boyfriends favorite. Who can blame him. Its great. I wonder though. How is this different from just black cherry. I made a lotion with this. I love it too. Its not too fruity which i like. Its nice for the summer. I recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves cherries. Great buy.

COMMENTS: Unless you like sickeningly sweet smells, you may want to pass. This smells like a cherry cola times ten. Very strong very sweet and fake fruit flavor smelling to me.
I ended up trying it in bath bombs at a low amount hoping it would be nicer than in the bottle- nope.
Haven't used it for anything. Didn't even use the test bath bombs.

COMMENTS: I bought this in time for the Fall/Winter season and it was a hit! The first time I used this product, I neglected to notice the vanilla content and the CP soap cured a light brown colour. Next batch I added vanilla stable and red merlot....yes....red wine instead of water.....what a hit!!! Be careful when using red wine (low boil alcohol out and make the wine into a slushy before adding the lye). The red wine will colour your bar a nice merlot colour. As for the scent....black cherries, with a hint of vanilla....and of course the wine helps...made it a bar I could not keep in stock. Behaved beautifully in CP with no acceleration or morphing. I added 1/2 oz per lb of soap. Excellent in salt scrubs and body butter as well.

COMMENTS: I LOVE the smells of Cherries, not a fan of Cherry Almond, reminds me of Jergens lotion. But this Black Cherry Merlot is PERFECT. I wanted to use a nice Cherry FO in my Mikes Black Cherry Hard Lemonade soap and this turned out perfect for it. Of course the hard Lemonade made it move VERY fast but the FO behaved wonderfully. I just purchased the 16oz. since I only ordered the 4oz. to see if I liked it.

COMMENTS: I made a batch of cp soap with this fo and it worked beautifully. I've tried other cherry/fruit scents from different companies and have not been nearly as impressed as I am with this one. The problem I ran into with other suppliers was that theirs smelled slightly like chemicals. This one doesn't. It smells like sweet cherry syrup. I'm not getting heavy booziness from this which is nice. I plan on ordering more!

COMMENTS: Okay, so... the OOB smell had a sharp, cough syrup-y smell to it, so I was a bit worried. Thankfully, once in soy wax, it faded away to a nice tart smell that added to the sweetness of the cherry! Definitely try it in a small batch of product before you judge the scent. Oh, and I added 6%, but could probably get away with 4% - it's STRONG. It's also preeeeetty close to the BBW version that I enjoyed in hand soap.

COMMENTS: Deep rich dark berry smell. I used to make tarts and CP. Behaved well in CP. I appreciated it very much. I made tarts and entire home smell for days of this rich berry smell. I can not wait to get more. I will need the 16oz next go around. Great buy. If you do not like sweet, maybe not for you. It is not sugary sweet, but a deep rich berry sweet.

COMMENTS: Keeping Nancy's review in mind I lowered the temperatures of the lye and oils, normally I soap at 100 and added more water, stirred in the fragrance after I mixed everything, colors as well. Was able to work with 4 colors but had to work really fast, turned out great. The smell is really enticing, you smell the cherry but also something sophisticated, grown up fragrance.
