"I was skeptical you could mix these 2 scents" |
COMMENTS: I get the blackberry first and then the balsam. It makes for a lovely soap for the holiday season. I cannot wait to try it in a candle.

"Beautiful complex scent" |
COMMENTS: When I got this OOB it smelled like blackberry with no other hint of balsam. I was worried I would have a berry scented soap. However, after curing, the berry died down and this soft (not weak in scent) balsam scent bloomed. It was a harsh pine scent or a "cleaning" product scent. It was just a beautiful balsam scent and every once in awhile I would get a hint of berry. Where the berry comes back in is the shower. It really bloomed and this beautiful blend of both balsam and berry came alive. I would say if you are looking for a pleasant soft not sharp balsam scent with a hint of berry that really comes out when you really want it, I would say give this a try. I wouldn't say this is winter this gives me a spring scent but honestly I think you should try it. It did heat up in my mold and caused a slight crack. I cooled it in the fridge. Be careful insulating. Other than that it behaved wonderfully. I did a 2 color swirl and had no issues. I chose dark colors but I'm assuming it would not discolor.

"New Holiday Favorite" |
COMMENTS: I'm loving this fragrance oil as much as I'd hoped I would. Like many fragrance oils, to smell it straight from the bottle leaves something to be desired, so I was a bit disappointed when it first arrived. I used this to make shaped Christmas tree pillar candles last night, and as soon as the fragrance oil hit the hot wax, it really blossomed and opened up. The combination of the sweetness from the blackberries and the spice of the balsam has just the right amount of complexity, and balances beautifully. I can't wait to make a dozen different holiday products with this fragrance.

"Berry and fir" |
COMMENTS: Very Christmasy scent. Worked really well in my CP recipe accelerated trace a bit but that is all I noticed. My 12 year old son really liked this scent. It isn't sickly sweet but very lovely.
