"A little goes a long way" COMMENTS:  I've used the Carnauba wax to make my lip balms. A 2oz bag doesn't seem like a lot but it really is! I have made several batches of balm and I'm still working off my initial 2oz bag. This was really helps keep the balm firm. PRODUCT USED IN:   Lip Care

Staff Answer This is something you would need to test but in researching this question, we found that if substituting emulsifying wax in a lotion recipe, natural emulsifiers must be used in conjunction with each other in order to work. Hello, This wax has not been chemically treated or bleached. Normally when a product has gone through a bleaching stage or chemical altering state it will state that it is refined. For this wax WSP clearly states that "Our Carnauba Wax is 100% pure and cosmetic grade. I was a little confused, too, because this is copied and pasted from the description:Natural non-animal based wax. It is known as "queen of waxes” and comes in the form of hard yellow flakes. When combined with beeswax, carnauba wax can produce a glossy finish. Our Candelilla Wax is 100% pure and cosmetic grade.
