There are substitutes but this is a speciality oil with unique benefits that so there is no exact substitute. It also depends what you are formulating.

In this case, you can substitute for Argan oil or you can just use extra amounts of the macadamia & avocado oil that the recipe calls for to make up for the missing carrot seed oil.
