Build a unique soap design with Crafter's Choice® Medium Circle Soap Column Mold. Combine the large round column soap made from this mold with other shapes to create your own unique design. Embed the round soap column in a Regular Loaf Mold or Loaf Column Mold. When the loaf is cut, you will see the circle design in each bar of soap! This mold is popular for making a "sun" or "moon" for a beautiful sappy landscape.
Common Uses:
Melt & Pour Soap. Cold Process Soap.
Points of Interest:
This soap column mold makes one 1” round soap column that can be embedded into a loaf. The silicone construction allows for easy soap removal. One side of the mold is hinged and three sides have edges that seal closed. The mold can stand on its own, but we recommend leaning it against an upright mitre box or a sturdy object before filling with soap. See “Directions” for more information on how to use this mold.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. For added safety, clamp the edges. Slowly pour melted soap no hotter than 130ºF into mold. Allow soap to harden then open mold and remove soap. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. To minimize bowing, fill in three pours allowing the soap to harden between pours.
Cold Process Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together, and clamp the edges. Slowly pour traced soap into mold. After at least 24 hours, open mold and remove soap with gloved hands. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Care: Hand wash mold in warm, sudsy water.

"great little mold" |
COMMENTS: I've had this sitting around for a project that I never got around to, but then I finally got to use this. I made Melt and pour embeds and this was a great mold. I didn't use any extra clips to hold shut. I just poured and sat the mold in the freezer. it came out easily- you do need to clean up the edges.

"Santa Fe Sunset Soap" |
COMMENTS: I use this to make my Santa Fe Sunset soap. I make the column yellow, then put it in layers of orange, pink and lavender. Big seller! Bought clips at an office supply store to hold the sides together so it doesn't leak. Put it in the fridge as soon as I poured it to help prevent leaking, too. Unmolded easily.
