Our Clear Conditioning Shampoo contains Cocamidopropyl Betaine which is derived from Coconut Oil. This same ingredient helps prevents static (fly away hair) making it perfect for hair products. Paraben Free. Add color & fragrance or use as is.

Shampoo. This is a ready to use base. It can be used “as is” or it can have color and fragrance incorporated prior to packaging.

Maximum Temp Note: If a base is heated over “Maximum Heating Temperature” for greater than 5 minutes the current preservative system can be rendered inactive and additional preservative is required to prevent the growth of mold, bacteria and fungus. If more than 5% additives are incorporated into the base, the current preservative system will be diluted and additional preservative will be required.

Directions:
Add .5%-1% fragrance (0.5% = 1/2 teaspoon per 16 ounces of base). This is a water based product. If you use straight fragrance oil, it will likely float or sink instead of incorporating into the base. (To make your fragrance oil water soluble, mix your fragrance oil with our fragrance oil modifier as directed.) Add modified fragrance oil or water based fragrance to this base. Lightly color with water based color as desired. If shampoo bubbles have color when using, too much color has been added. Bubbles must be clear.
We do not recommend adding vegetable or fruit oils/ butters as they will significantly decrease your lather. Aggressive stirring will cause bubbles. Each fragrance reacts differently in the base and should be tested accordingly.
NOTE: Some fragrance and essential oils may thin, thicken and/or cloud this base. You will want to conduct performance testing to ensure your final product performs as you desire.

COMMENTS: I have a sensitive scalp, and some shampoo's make my head hurt, literally. I bought this (and conditioner) to make into a beachy scented duo for my customers, but ended up using it all as a non-scented shampoo in my own bathroom. Will have to order another one . . . . . . It's good to find a truly gentle shampoo base.

COMMENTS: This shampoo is very conditioning and softens hair well. I also use a conditioner, but my husband uses it alone. I've found adding fragrance thins it too much (very runny) but adding a small amount of Bubble Wash Thickener (~2%) fixes this.

COMMENTS: I haven't done enough research to give this Shampoo a better review. I need to look into thickeners because the second you add anything to this base, it thinks a lot. Even with just a few drops of FO.
I also added Shea 50 w the same result.

COMMENTS: I have been trying to make my own shampoo from scratch for the last 12 months. Although I am getting better, I still need to wash my hair with products bought from the store. That is when I decided to try this product. I can give add my own fragrance, color, and make small alterations in small batches to see if it works.
If my alterations work, I keep them, if not... The product by itself if great and gives me great result without the need to add fragrance, color or anything else.

I decided after looking at this product for a while that I would purchase it and give it a try. I love it!
And will never buy store bought shampoo again. Love how it makes my hair shine and leaves it soft and not frizzy at all.
I mixed a little Lavender and Patchouli oil in a small batch to try. And am now recommending it to my family and friends and will be mixing small batches for them to try.
You really owe it to yourself to try it if you haven't yet and are looking for a amazing shampoo.

COMMENTS: This is better than expensive shampoo's. I use to have 3-5 different shampoo's in my shower. Never was satisfied always feeling like I needed to switch my shampoo because of build-up. COMMENTS: This conditioner base was perfect. I love the fact that I could use either fragrance oils or essential oils to make wonderful and satisfying products for my whole family. Everyone who had a bottle and used my product loves how soft their hair was after using it. The base did not loose its position to self itself! I highly recommend this product because I myself have very sensitive skin and this product didn't give me any skin irritations what so ever! It's a light conditioner so it doesn't weigh down your hair nor does it leave it greasy on hot or humid days. Glides through my hair easily and a little goes a long way.

COMMENTS: I am in my 60s and although my hair is still thick it is "fly away" and very hard to style. One of the things I read in the description of this shampoo is that it was smoothing. I have to be careful of what I use. Soaps, skincare, and hair products are all a hit and miss. I have used your melt and pour Soaps for a few months now with no problems and decided to give the shampoo a try. It has a good lather, no smell, and rinses out easily. I went to blow dry and style. I had none of the fly always that I am used to even after purposely not using any styling products. I'm very happy with this and gave it a 5 star thumbs up.

COMMENTS: I've looked for a long time to find a good conditioning shampoo.I bought this one and followed the free recipe for the pearberry but used a different fragrance oil and it got THICK. It was AWESOME! Such a little amount needed to create a head full of lather and WOW! My long wavy hair was in LOVE! This time I omitted the bubble thickener because frankly, it didn't need it. I know that if I use a different fragrance oil it made think out the shampoo, but this one made it think and it feels super luxurious.

COMMENTS: While I bought this product to be used as shampoo, I discovered it actually works very well as a body wash too. Used as a shampoo it is perfect for normal to oily hair. As is with no additives it tamed my naturally wavy hair without flattening it. A definite plus. Used as a body wash it doesn't leave my skin feeling coated, like so many (actual) body washes do.

COMMENTS: I bought this for my granddaughter to make shampoo for her using this and Crafters Choice Baby Bee Buttermilk* Fragrance. Oh My!! Sooo nice, and leaves her baby hair silky smooth! I recommend this to anyone. Just add your favorite fragrance or essential oil and you have a really great shampoo!!

COMMENTS: I give this shampoo 4 out of five stars becuz it does deliver, giving great hair benefits! With that being said, I like to add the Pearlizer to it, to thicken its watery nature, it actually separates the water out of it, even worse! I like the pearlizer in my shampoo, & so, I wondered what to do for a while. I have also learned great additives to help with both the wateriness and give super hair results for many problems, such as; dandruff, thinning hair, life-less hair, damaged hair, etc.,: Baking Soda.

COMMENTS: Let's start with the positive: I like the base properties of this product. It lathers nicely and appears to clean well - my hair as well as that of my family members' and customers' does not dull with its use. In addition, fragrance incorporates easily when directions are followed.
On the negative side: I have to agree with some others in their statements about how this shampoo becomes watery after fragrances are added at their recommended rate as well as their statements that considering the price, having to invest in a thickening agent seems like a kick in the face (for lack of a better phrase). Also, I agree with those who stated that additional/separate conditioning products would benefit this product's properties.

COMMENTS: This is the first shampoo base I have ever tried. I loved it so much for my own family that I started selling it to my own customers. This base is appealing because it's unscented but it incorporates fragrances well for those who prefer it. Leaves my hair soft and manageable. Never over-dries my hair and my entire family loves it!

COMMENTS: This is just amazing. Our hair feels soft as silk. It rinses clean. Hair is shiny. You only need a little bit. This shampopo really does condiotion. You really need not use a conditioner. Our girls though like to use the Crafter's Choice condiotioner anyway. That by the way is a dream. Please try it. A 5 pound bag of pastilles makes at least 20 gallons of conditioner. Just use distilled water and heat.

COMMENTS: I just finished delivering 250 soaps and shampoos to a local campground. Before deciding on your shampoo base, I tried several others (including a homemade one that took me FOREVER! I thought your cost was rather high, but if I would have paid shipping and handling to another company I would have paid more and had to settle for formaldehyde in my formulation! I like the base as is, but we decided to spruce it up with the addition of Argan Oil, Castor Oil and a citrus essential oil. It is perfect and our local campground is delighted! Thanks for coming through for me again.

COMMENTS: My daughter & I have a long thick black hair & its always very hard to find shampoo that works on this kind of hair thats virgin,thick & long. Our hair is knee length so buying shampoo from stores is very expensive & most of the shampoo was drying our hair. I was a little skeptical about after reading some review but i went ahead & ordered it anyway. I use to buy the shampoo from other vendor & it was wonderful but their shipping is too high anyway this shampoo is very nice & subtle. Our hair is managable,soft & shiny. Only thing i would hope wholesale plus to start selling conditioner ready to use like other vendor.

COMMENTS: Delightful. I used a recipe I have that uses this base and coconut milk that I make and some essential oils I love. It is just a delight. I just use a dime size bit on my medium long coarse hair which is wonderful. I love the ease of use and how well it blended with my ingredients giving me exactly what I wanted. I have been using it nearly two weeks and my hair looks and feels healthy in that short amoutn of time. I have even received some lovely compliments. I will order again and I will recommend this product to everyone that ask.

COMMENTS: I have always had to purchase "old ladies" shampoo to keep my silver hairs from turning yellowish. HOWEVER until I used this awesome shampoo, I didn't realize that my silver hairs were really a beautiful highlight. After washing my hair which cannot go without conditioner is nice and smooth and manageable with a just a dab of coconut oil rubbed in the palms of my hands and placed on the ends of my long hair. After finding that it was a great shampoo, I went a step further and shaved my legs with it. No nicks or cuts, nice and smooth. One step further, and I used the product as a shower gel. It left my body clean, and not at all drying. So you choose. Shampoo, or shower gel. Nice consistency for either!!

Only a small amount is needed. I have long, thin, straight hair but I have a lot of it. It does not weigh my hair down.

COMMENTS: This is so moisturizing, one would think they should skip the conditioner. While that factually may be the case, when combined...you are unstoppable!! I've tried many different scents all without any issues. This base readily accepts any fragrance and even color if you want to add that in as well. You will LOVE this. A little goes a long way so for the end user, it lasts a long time. That's always a huge sales point.
