"Clove Fragrance Oil 237" |

COMMENTS: I have been purchasing this (in small quantities) from another company. It was strong, straight up clove - no doubt about it. This clove is a gentler version. It smells like clove, but with perhaps the more 'cookie' scent (think German lebkuchen). Nice OOB! I typically use this to boost Christmas product scents. So, if I make CP soap, I will split the batch and each scent gets their own 'batter'. I found that this is (for me) the best possible way, instead of mixing all things FO/EO together. I am curious now how this will hold up with my recipes. Either way, I recommend clove at Christmas! Customers love it. Watch your IFRAs! I gave this a four star because I have not yet used it - this review is based strictly on the OOB scent. The downside, since this is not as strong a clove scent to what I am used to, it may get lost by other scents. Time will tell.

"Hmmm..." |

COMMENTS: It was okay... reminded me of Christmas honestly, like a holiday spice, and it was hard for me to think of what to do with it. I swapped it right away with somebody. I hope they can find a use for it but I just got lost when I received it. I expected something else like clove cigarettes but sadly this was not it.

COMMENTS: I use the Clove FO for mixing with other masculine scents. It works great in perfumes & MP. I have used it as part of a blend in CP and didn't notice any seizing or discoloration. It smells just like cloves.

COMMENTS: I had a request for clove scented soap and ordered this FO despite some of the reviews on here saying it smelled like bacon and didn't smell like cloves.
When I first received it, I wasn't too happy with the scent as it was in the bottle. It had an odd smell and I wasn't sure this was going to be right. However, after making a batch of MP soap with it I have to say it smells fantastic and VERY true to a traditional clove smell with no chemical smell and no "bacon" smell. It's lightly fragrant and smells fantastic. I absolutely love it and this will definitely be a keeper for me.
This is one of my favorite FO's so far! No vanilla discoloration either!

"Lovely fragrance oil" |

COMMENTS: This smelled exactly like clove bud oil which I was using in a classic clove melt and pour soap. I mixed it with Clove Bud essential oil and it produced a truly clove experience. The bath shops which carry my products were delighted to get this new soap and I'm waiting to see if customers feel the same way.
