Pure Cocoa Butter that is Refined and Deodorized to yield an ultra white colored butter with little color in handmade product. Use Refined Cocoa Butter in your recipes for bath fizzies, soap, lotion and more!

Cocoa Butter
Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir melted product into the oil portion of your formulation. Common use levels are lip products 5-100%, cold process soap 3-6%, lotions and creams 3-5%. Can be applied directly to the skin.
TIPS: The average melting point for the butter is 100°F. Butters provide moisturizing properties to products. To minimize greasy after feel we recommend blending with 1-3% cornstarch or isopropyl myristate. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.
CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

COMMENTS: Love this product - I made a mistake and ordered another kind of raw cocoa butter that was NOT deoderized - big problem! This product adds the extra goodness to my bath bombs but doesn't have the cocoa butter fragrance to interfere with the smell of the particular fragrance oil I'm using.

COMMENTS: If you want a good cocoa butter with no residual smell, this is perfect. It's totally white & there's no cocoa-butter smell, which is why I chose it, although now I think personally I would prefer a non-deodorized version. This was very easy to making shavings of (for easier measuring in products). The price for what you get is really good.

COMMENTS: I love this cocoa butter! When I need my product to stay white, this is the cocoa butter I use. Even though I don't mind the smell that some cocoa butters have, this one has no odor, which I like, depending on what I'm doing with the product. Of all the other cocoa butters I've tried, this is the only one that stays white.

COMMENTS: I really like this cocoa butter. My only concern was not having some of the benefits of the raw cocoa butter because it is refined and deodorized. The scent of raw cocoa butter doesn't cover well so this one works great. It still gives my lotion bars and lip balms the texture and overall benefit I am looking for.

COMMENTS: It has been awhile since I purchased this product. I had received a gift of "regular" cocoa butter from a friend and was using that in my soap formulations so that I would use it up in a timely fashion. I prefer the refined and deoderized cocoa butter by far for most of my soaping and bath product formulations as there will not be any "cocoa butter" odor nor slight yellowing in color to my formulation/product. I will however still get all the cocoa butter skin loving goodness!

COMMENTS: This is my first time working with cocoa butter as I have always used just Shea butter. This butter is MUCH harder than shea butter and when used your product doesn't melt prematurely. I was worried that it would be too hard in a lotion bar, but when mixed in combination with shea butter it will make an amazing lotion bar. I got a lotion bar recipe from a book that I recently bough (101 Easy Homemade Products by Jan Berry - find it on Amazon...definitely worth the purchase). Her recipe calls for a combination of Shea butter and cocoa butter and they were the best lotion bars I have ever used. Goes on smoothly and doesn't leave you greasy. Definitely give this cocoa butter a try. Be careful, if you get the unrefined it will have a chocolate smell. The refined one has no scent at all.

COMMENTS: I prefer this over un-refined mostly because of the scent. FO and EO scents are more predictable than when using the un refined Cocoa butter because of the smell of the cocoa butter, its hard to ever know how the end product will actually be scented... and a few times the results weren't all that good. I prefer this just because its a little easier to work with in that area.

I love love LOVE the deodorized version. I first started out buying the regular unrefined version, While, the unrefined version does smell good out of the bag, I didn't like it mixed in my lotion sticks. It over powered my fragrance oil and all I could smell was cocoa butter!
The refined version is definitely good if you want to smell ONLY your essential oils/fragrance oils.

COMMENTS: This is a wonderful product for when you would like to add cocoa butter to your formulation but forego the aroma and warmer color of 'regular' cocoa butter. While some have said they like the packaging, I do not like reaching down into the bag and having the backs of my hands get oily or having to work to get all the little pieces out from the bag's folds. Next time, I will transfer mine to lidded container (asian take-out soup containers are so handy :)

COMMENTS: This is the only cocoa butter I ever got that has absolutely no scent. This could be great for the purity or it could be not so good if you want a hint of cocoa scent. My only concern is whether the good qualities I look for in cocoa butter are refined out. And whether chemicals are being used to refine. I still appreciate that it has no scent at all for certain products.

COMMENTS: Cocoa butter quality is excellent, but what I really like about this is how its packaged. Nothing worse than digging hard cocoa butter out of little jars. This is appropriately packed in a zip top bag in workable-sized chunks.

"A very hard oil with great moisturizing properties" |

COMMENTS: I love using cocoa butter as a binder for my products such as lotion bars, lip balms, and bath bombs due to its hardness after cooling. Normally other oils with larger amounts of oleic fatty acids are much softer such as shea butter or olive oil but for whatever reason the cocoa butter is much harder but still almost as moisturizing. This is also very clean cocoa butter with almost no color or smell like with the natural stuff you typically see on the market.

COMMENTS: I love this refined & deodorized cocoa butter. It's whiter than other deodorized cocoa butters I've bought, which means it doesn't mess with the color of my products. Thus far, I've only used it in bath bombs, but I know it'll perform well in my lotions and other products. I do wish it came in somewhat smaller chunks, like other reviewers said, since the 5 lb quantity came in one gigantic chunk with some smaller pieces at the bottom of the [resealable!] bag. The 5 lb bag beats the price for the comparable quantity of material at all of my other suppliers. This'll be a new staple in my workshop!

COMMENTS: This is excellent cocoa butter. It's nearly colorless and has little odor compared to unrefined cocoa butter. I used it in a solid perfume base (not a lotion bar but that was the closest I could find) and the cleanness of it meant no more having to worry about working around a chocolate scent, and I can color the end product however I want. The only thing I would change is breaking it into smaller chunks before packaging. It's a hard butter so not that easy to cut up into bits for smaller batches.

COMMENTS: Great to use when you're working with other additives to make an ultra-white bar of soap. Cocoa butter is so moisturizing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was how it was packaged. There were several small pieces that were easy to work with but there was one really large chunk that I had to break apart myself. Was a little tough to work with.

COMMENTS: I can not tell how many products I have used this in... This is yet another staple for me. And I will say WSSP Refined cocoa butter is HARD (which is a GOOD THING.) I love to melt some in my m&p soap to make the bars a LOT harder, therefor they last longer; Not to mention the fact is is excellent for the skin. This is a must have product for any kind of bath products or lip stuff. I also would like to say how high grade it is. Simply marvelous stuff. I only ordered 2 oz my first haul, when I ran out, I wanted to cry... This is some serious stuff.

COMMENTS: I've used this in my solid lotion bars and it works great. I've also used the regular (unrefined) Cocoa Butter in my solid lotion bars and it works just fine as well (but the other one has a slight cocoa fragrance and is a yellow color. This one is white with no fragrance until you add your own).

COMMENTS: I love this cocoa butter. It takes a bit long to melt, but it's a hard butter, so nothing unexpected there. I love that it leaves no scent on my cp soap. And I love using this butter. The soaps I make using cocoa butter always feel so smooth and luxurious on the skin. I've had no problems using this butter. The only thing I would like is to receive it in smaller chunks because it would be easier to use that way (for my needs since I make 5 lbs of soap at a time, or less). If you haven't tried this butter, you need to give it a try. I also use it in lip balms, and they come out great!
