The dried and ground silky threads found under the husks of fresh corn are used to make cornsilk powder. Cornsilk powder contains allantoin which is a common ingredient in skincare products. It also contains many natural vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and lutein, which are high in antioxidants. Cornsilk Powder is most commonly used in lotion, face creams and soap.

Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Incorporate into formula, amount as desired. Common use levels are 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per pound of base. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Can also be infused in oils for use in salves, ointments and balms.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase. Keep out of reach from children and pets.
CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and away from eyes. Do not inhale.

COMMENTS: This was a nice product to use in my lotions. I haven't used this as much since I started using allantoin in my lotions but it is a nice back to basic ingredient for lotion making.

"A little confusing at first, but....." |

COMMENTS: I was confused when to add this in my CP process. First I added it at trace and then read about adding it to the lye mix to help it desolve. The texture still came out the same either way. I like what it brings to my soap.
