Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. For added safety, clamp the edges. Slowly pour melted soap no hotter than 130ºF into mold. Allow soap to harden then open mold and remove soap. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars.
Cold Process Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together, and clamp the edges. Slowly pour traced soap into mold. After at least 24 hours, open mold and remove soap with gloved hands. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Care: Hand wash mold in warm, sudsy water.

"Beautifully detailed Cross!" |
COMMENTS: Melt and pour would definitely be easier to use in this detailed mold but CP works well too, if you're patient. It's summertime, so I waited a week before unmoding and had great results. I'm in my 60s, new to soaping, and this is my first embed experience. If I can do it, you can too!

" Beautiful Cross" |
COMMENTS: I love this column mold! I got it for a soap I did for Easter. It was a hit! The cross is ornate but not overly so. It is the perfect height embed for 1400 g mold. The only drawback is you have to make two if you want it all the way through your soap. I read some reviews that said some people had issues with the mold leaking, I had no such issues. I made sure the mold was closed properly, with all the seams aligned. I purposely did not use clamps because I wanted to see if it would leak. In my case, they were not necessary. All in all, as I sad, it preformed beautifully with no drip, no runs and no errors. Thank you for a lovely mold!

"Perfection" |
COMMENTS: This mold is absolutely beautiful. I had no problems with leaking - used it with crimson and pine melt and pour soap - two colors poured at a cool temp made an incredible swirl inside this mold for embed. I couldn’t be happier.

"So Fun To Add Shapes Into Soaps" |
COMMENTS: I love all of the silicone column molds. It is kind of tricky when you first start using them as you have to make sure you have them well sealed all the way around, but once you master that, it is a breeze. I love putting them in my M & P loves for added character in my bars.

"Nice, but...." |
COMMENTS: I was a little hesitant to buy this mold due to reviews stating that it leaked. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I tried it out I didn't have any issues with it leaking. The only problem I had is that the mold bulged out in the middle. I ended up with soaps with embedded detail that looked more like angels. :( On the upside, unmolding was a breeze.
CC Response: | Next time you use this mold try pouring it in three sections to help prevent bowing. Pour the fist third and spritz with alcohol and allow to harden and then spritz again before pouring the second third. Repeat with the final third. |

"Pretty Shape" |
COMMENTS: This is a pretty shape. I agree it is more difficult to get the soap out, but I managed by going very slowly and really twisting the silicon back with no damage to my embed.

"Cute, but...." |
COMMENTS: This mold is lovely, and I had plans to use a turquoise color in this mold and embed in a chocolate brown soap for a cute western chic look. However, getting the soap out of this mold has proven difficult. I did't use SL, so can't speak to if that would help. I attempted to unmold after 2 days and it was very soft. (My recipe usually unmold of from silicone) I forgot about it and tried a week later.... Still too soft. The freezer helped, but was still hard to unmold the horizontal part of the cross without pulling off one side or another. The mold itself is a nice silicone, snaps together well, and doesn't leak. The mold itself would get 5 stars from me. The design though is hard to unmold, so keep that in mind when purchasing. :)
