Our Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free soap base that is opaque and white in color. It contains goat milk, which is loaded with vitamins, beta-casein, and protein for properties that will hydrate and nourish dry skin. The 23 pound big block is ideal for larger projects, as it will make (92) 4 oz. bars of soap. Soap comes in a blue bag with twist tie and corrugate box. A single block measures 13 x 11.5 x 6 inches.

Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.
MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.
ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!
CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

COMMENTS: Bought this base to make as soap crayons. Cuts & melts beautifully. Unfortunately when I was popping these out of the molds, I found the crayons were super soft & bendy. Not great. We had goat milk soap before, might have to go back to that.

COMMENTS: This is the ONLY Goat's milk soap I will ever use! If you have not tried this low sweat, detergent free soap base, you are missing out! What I love best is the fact that it melts at low temps (120) and stays liquid right down to 104, therefore you can swirl colors and make gorgeous soaps! I ran out and used a little of a "regular" goat's milk that I had, just to finish up a project. NEVER again! Love the fact I do not have to wrap it up straight away! I never have had sweat on any of my soaps and as a test, I left some out for weeks as a test! Give this a try, you will not be disappointed!

COMMENTS: I love using this detergent free Goat Milk soap. I don't need to add a lot of additive to have the proper moisturizer on it. It is good as adding more oils on it. Just add a little fragrance or none at all for baby soaps. It also have a small creamy lather when use which I really like.

COMMENTS: This is the best Melt and Pour base that I have ever used! It doesn't have all the harsh chemicals like the bases I've found in stores. The lather is the best EVER! My husband is my tester and he absolutely loves the lather. It holds fragrance oil very well and doesn't smell like a chemical like some I have tried.
It leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized. I highly recommend this base if you are making melt and pour soap. I also melt it and add it to the foaming bath whip for extra lather.

Melts clean. Holds up well to all the different things I added to it. Holds colors and scents very well. My customers love it that its detergent free and so do I. Most definitely would recommend to everyone. I will be ordering more soon as Im almost out because its such a good seller. Hard soap from finished product. Is a lotion bar all on its own. COMMENTS: When making a large batch of soap this one is my favorite. Never a problem when working with a large batch. Certain fragrances are more popular than others and I like this convenience. I prefer using a non detergent melt and pour. This may sound strange but I like to rebatch some of my homemade soap because it contains numerous extra butters and oils and this brand blends well with the melt and pour, and the soap turns out superior. I like to work with new ideas and this is one of them.

COMMENTS: This is the only White Soap I use and love it. Melts easily and I have no issues blending micas, scents or whatever else I may want to add. Lots of lather too! Decided to buy the block to get more for my money. Glad I did. Packaged within bag in a box makes much more sense than having a whole bunch of 2 lb plastic containers around. Not to mention the waste. Though I do recycle them. From now on only way I will buy my soap is by the block.

COMMENTS: I really, really, REALLY love this melt & pour. I'm new to the soap-making hobby, and this is by far the best I've used. I even tried the 'Premium' base, and found that to be watery, and unlike this base, the premium didn't have that soft, creamy, milky scent like this one. It smells great without fragrance being added, very easy to use creatively (adding scents, colors, oils, remelting), has great lather, and it's thick (but not too heavy) in consistency. I think this will be my go-to until I master the cold-process method. Good stuff, my soap-making friends. Good stuff, indeed.

COMMENTS: The feel of this soap is wonderfully smooth and silky. It leaves your skin feeling great. It worked great making soap but it sweat very badly. I was making wedding favors with it and I had to go with HP instead because this base sweat so much.

"The bag is embedded in the soap" |
COMMENTS: I have ordered the 24 lb blocks of detergent free melt and pour soap ever since they came out without a problem. However, this time, both the goat's milk block and the clear block that I just opened have the bag stuck in them all around the bottom edge. So I am having to cut and pull the bag to get it unstuck from the soap. I think I read recently that the method for pouring the soap into the bags had changed, and if so, this is not a change for the good. I like to think that when I pay for a 24 lb block of soap, that I will get a full 24 lbs and not have the bag taking up some of the space where there really should have been soap. I don't know if my 2 cases are an anomaly or if this is the new norm, but I liked the old way the soap was poured better - never had a stuck bag once.
Other than that, the soap is great. But I gave it 4 stars because of the problem with the bag.
| CC Response: | Thank you for your review! You are correct, the method of pouring the soap has changed recently. Instead of raising product prices, we were able to cut back on labor costs by having the soap poured directly into the bag. We anticipate that some soap may be lost due to what you are experiencing with the bag getting stuck, so every block is now overfilled by 1 lb. to help make up for this. We hope that this information has proven helpful! |

COMMENTS: Amazing base!! I have had many customers come back again and again for more goats milk bars. My customers have commented that they no longer have itching , that they had with store bought soaps. Very pleased with the moisturizing effects that the goats milk offers. COMMENTS: When I first used this product, I couldn't believe the difference in my skin. It was noticeable immediately. The goat milk base is my standard go-to base. Even though living in a high humidity area, I have had good luck working with this base and have had no problems. When used with most fragrances, they hold true. It also has taken other additives (butters and oils) well and has yielded good results. I will work with and personally use this base any day.

COMMENTS: We love this soap! Even if I wasn't in the business, I'd still buy this soap. Our family has a laundry list of skin sensitivities, and we tried just about every commercial soap out there. No matter which one we bought, someone would react poorly to it. Our whole family can use this formula without reacting. Beyond that, it accepts and holds both fragrance and color beautifully.

COMMENTS: This is a must-have base for MP soaps. Customers LOVE that it is detergent free, which also makes it gentler for sensitive skin and great for kids soaps. The block is easy to cut, not too hard out of the package. Holds 95% of fragrances well over time and have not had any issues with sweating (even in super-humid Florida!) Also, best overall value and cost. Definitely a keeper!

COMMENTS: I love the new low-sweat version of this product. The base itself is still soft with a creamy, bubbly lather, but I can leave it out for longer after unmolding and before shrink wrapping. It takes color & scent very well - I use EOs only. Very easy to use too... I buy this by the 24-lb block and it is very easy to chunk up into pieces with my soap cutter for melting.
