Our White Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free soap base that is opaque and white in color. The two-pound tray is the perfect size container for projects making (8) 4 oz. bars of soap. The lid allows for unused soap to easily be stored for future use.

Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.
MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.
ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!
CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

COMMENTS: I like how easy this soap is to use; it melts easily and pours smoothly. I am new to MP soap and was unsure how it would handle compared to making cold processed soap. This soap colors easily and evenly. It lathers and bubbles and feels good on the skin. I only scented at 1% and found that to be enough. I will purchase more and use it to make gifts for the holiday.

Maybe the detergent free aspect has something to do with that....my colors blended beautifully into the soap and it took the scent very well.

COMMENTS: This is my favorite white base. It has a great lather and is plenty moisturizing. Sometimes I feel like the butter bases are a bit soft. This is not. I wouldn't recommend the 2 lb trays if you make a lot of soap. I would recommend a bulk block. I ordered this by accident.

COMMENTS: While I know you can use a microwave, I prefer to use my double boiler to melt down soaps. I've noticed that I literally click the Add 30 Seconds button various times before the soap finally melts down fully. When this soap melted down, it looked like a creamy milk soup was in the pot. How enticing. After I poured into my molds, it solidified fairly quickly, and came out a nice light blue pastel color (I added some blue dye). It came out fabulous. Cant wait to get home to make some more!

COMMENTS: This soap base is wonderful, for a detergent free base. I don't add color to it, because I want a natural color of the additives that I put in the soap to come through. I used Rosehip fruit powder and it gave my soap a wonderful natural color. The only problem I noticed is sweating, not a lot though.

COMMENTS: I usually buy the large blacks of MP but I bought the 2 lb. tray of Detergent Free White Soap. The ease of using and not lifting the large blocks made my job much easier. I was pleased with my finished product and am anxious to sell and hear the feedback from customers.

COMMENTS: A great mp base. Can be used in many different recipes and true to it's name, it does not sweat like other bases. Sometimes it will sweat if it is an extremely humid day (85% or higher) and it is left unwrapped. Lathers nicely. Customer favorite.
