"Unbelievably bitter, tastes terrible, ruined batch" |

COMMENTS: I can’t believe this is supposed to be a flavor oil. It tastes so bad, there’s no way I can sell my product with this “flavor” in it. No one would ever buy it again! Used it at just a bit under 2% and can’t get the chemical flavor out of my mouth, even after brushing my teeth. NASTY!

COMMENTS: The smell was great…but I didn’t buy it for the smell. I bought it to flavor my lip balms. Ugh. So bitter. I will use this for scenting bath bombs or something else. I will never use this for flavor again. So disappointing.
| CC Response: | Hi Penny, using too much flavor oil in a lip product can cause the product to taste bitter. Try reducing the amount used to about 2% of your formula, and you should get better results. |

"Couldn't get a taste but still 5 stars" |

COMMENTS: I made a very small test batch of lip balm as I am very new to this. Combining the wax, oil and butter, it equivilated to 1.5oz. It was the first time I made lip balm. When it came to adding the flavor, I had no idea how much to put in. I used a little bit at a time. The smell of this flavor is quite strong and compliments its name. Even though I could smell the flavor in my lip balm mixture, I could not taste it. I probably added about 2ml or slightly more to the small batch I made which I assumed would have been way more than enough. I didn't add any more
because I did not want to risk getting the bitter taste so then I put it in the container to set. After it had set, It had a nice smell to it but once applied to the lips, still no flavor. I still give this 5 stars because it does have the strong scent and I will have to figure out how much flavor to use in the near future.
